I woke up with the sight of a white ceiling. The bed sheets and walls were in the same color so I assumed that this isn't my room.
Sitting straight, I sensed a tall being stood up from a corner.
My eyes widened at the sight of Lucas. What is he doing here?! Was he the one who sent me here? Maybe, because the last thing I remembered was I was with him and Engineer Chase at the conference room.
When our orbs met, he approached me, hands on his pocket. Currently, he's wearing his white button down shirt, his black suit and tie is now gone.
"Are you feeling better?" his baritone made me shiver along with the contact of his warm palm and my forehead.
I removed his hand rigorously and just nodded in response. I quietly tidied myself as he watched me.
Although my head is still throbbing, I stood up, determined to continue my rest back home, or at least, out of his sight.
"Don't move," Lucas stopped me.
