Business partners. That's what I know. But I'm not sure if he's that Narvaez. I have encountered once with the same surnames but unlike my brothers who dreams to be our next CEOs and business prodigies, I don't.
I just dream of being an architect and that's it.
When me and my siblings are still young, our parents would likely to bring us on social events. There, I met Valeria and Fransisco Narvaez.
Though I'm not really sure if they related to that Lucas Javier.
My blood boiled immediately at the thought of his name.
I don't know but something in him makes me really pissed off. There's something telling me that being involved with him in anyways is not good.
I am crossing my arms while me and Allanis are finding a way to tge cafeteria for lunch. A while ago, after our recess, we had two classes which I found really boring so I'm here, excited to go out of the classroom.
Now that we're at it, she's still blabbering about that particular guy.
"Gosh, I'm actually surprised that you don't know him at all?! Well, I can't blame you since it's just your first day here," she laughed at herself.
"As far as I know, his charm even exist in other universities. He's quite popular, you know," she added.
I just keep on listening to her while staring at the people who has eyes on us. Mostly on her.
It's either Allanis' beauty is such a head turner, or because I am new here or both. There are so many reasons.
"Charm? Really? Do you want me to puke?" I said bluntly.
She gave me a poker face and said. "Stop trying to hide it. I know you're attracted,"
I stopped walking and eyed her head to foot. I'm a little taller than her so I look down to meet her eyes only just to roll them at her.
"You know what, Jiana, Lucas was my ultimate crush before and I have no problems if I show it to him but I don't understand about you having an opposite reaction when it's clear that you like him,"
"I just came here. I can't possibly like him immediately," I stated.
"True, though. So I decided to switch crushes since he's unreachable. You know Clavin, right? It's almost two years since I like him but he never knew," she kept blabbering.
"I'm actually surprised that he still have no idea with that talkative mouth of yours,"
She frowned. "I don't confess because I won't get out of the campus alive because of his warfreak girls,"
"It's not like you'll broadcast it. You can always tell him without thos bitches knowing?!" I gave her a 'duh' expression.
I flipped my hair as I was now looking ahead, in deep thoughts.
I just can't get him out of my head. Wait...
"What year is Lucas in?" I asked my friend.
"Huh? He's in Grade 12. Actually we're classroom neighbors. But he's a basketball varity. He's so freaking good at it, I tell you. He's good in soccer too. That's why maybe so many girls like him. Besides that he's super handso—" I cut her off.
"Hell, Allanis! I was only asked for his year level!" I said as I laughed.
Classroom neighbors? Really?
I resumed thinking about him as I pushed the glass door of the cafe.
My ears then swallowed the sound of the noisy place as I looked around it.
We proceeded to the end of the line to get some lunch. I ordered food and Allanis was behind me, doing the same thing.
While on line, I slightly noticed the whole place got oddly quiet. I can also hear some whispers and gasps from most girls. I didn't mind it. All I wanted is to get food and eat.
"I'll have this tenderloin steak and beek stew, please," I politely asked.
I'm starving and decided to have heavy lunch. It also includes a slice of cake and a glass of juice.
After I received my tray, I proceeded in finding somewhere to sit. I actually found one at the other end of the cafe but I didn't move since I was still waiting for Allanis.
When she was done, I pointed her the seat and she went ahead of me.
"Oh, Jiana. I didn't know you eat that much?" she said before leaving me.
"Shut up," I said bluntly as I was busy staring at my tray, guarding it not to fall.
I'm not realy good at balancing things like these so I'm slightly nervous. Especially that there's a tall glass standing in it.
I'm so focused at it so I didn't even knew who I'm gonna collide with. My tray was tossed in the air and the food was scattered on the ground.
I almost got teary eyed at the sight of it and the noise it echoed through the whole cafe.
Allanis immediately went to me to help me stand. I cursed quietly as I stared to the food. Looks like it's not my stomach who's gonna benefit.
It's the janitor.
"Oops, sorry, Miss," a guy said, while he still had the guts to laugh.
My blood boiled as I looked up to him.
My eyes widened when I realized that it was Lucas.
Oh hell.
Behind him are his four guy friends and some more other girls scattered around. Now I assume that they are the reason why the loud cafe turned quiet earlier.
They actually look like bees. And the beehive is the asshole, Lucas, right here.
But I don't care.
"Sorry? Really? You know how much I spent on that and you only said sorry and laugh about it?!" I scoffed in disbelief.
"You know, we have eyes to see, right? And this is the purpose of it," I addaed sarcastically. Although I admit I have my fault too. But I'm just too pissed to blame myself.
Plus the fact that I can't get this beehive out of my head, made me have more reasons to be pissed off of him.
"Well, actually, there are too many pairs of eyes around you but I'm guessing you're all blind?!" I said.
Allanis is already pulling me out of it but I didn't listened to her.
