Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Miracle

I heard murmurs from everywhere around the cafe. I even saw one of this bastard's friend whistle.

"I said I'm sorry, Miss. I didn't saw you since I was busy talking to someone," WHY? IT'S NOT LIKE THAT IT'S YOUR MOUTH WHO CAN SEE! I groaned at how poor his logic is.

"Here," he said as he handed me a huge amount of bill. "I'll just pay for your food. You look pitiful now that you look like you ran out of money,"

Now I'm getting more pissed. He insulted me just like that! Anyways, my pride didn't et me have his money. Over my dead body.

"Keep it, asshole. Use that to go to the optometrist and have your eyes checked. What do you think I am? A beggar?!" I flipped my hair as I turned my back on him.

I even heard some laughs from their group. I just ignored it or else somehow, I will throw my anger towards them.

I even heard whispers from som people who witnessed the scene.

'How rude of her to disrespect Lucas like that.'

'What a bitch. Who even is she?'

'She's the youngest among Joaquin and Jerich, right?'

'Her brothers are nice. I'm actually surprised she's the opposite.'

I didn't mind them and just kept walking. My blood is already at its boiling point and I rather not speak when I'm this angry.

But seriously, that's how they respect that one hell of a bastard? What did he do to those people to even like him? Maybe somehow, he's kind. I just hope that's it's a coincidence that he's in a mood to piss someone off.

And that someone is me.

Even though he's getting into my nerves, I still can't stop thinking about him. He grew more and more mysterious about him and I don't know why.

Even that incident that happened a while ago gave me a reason to wonder about him more.

It can't be, right? I didn't do anything bad to him so why is he treating me like that?

I quickly got out of that place as Allanis tried to keep up with me. She was calling me from a distance but I just chose to ignore her.

"Jiana, wait," her voice got louder when she neared me. She grabbed my wrist as she dragged me to a near concrete bench under a big mango tree. Infront of it is a greeny soccer field.

She's still holding the tray with her food, making me wonder how she carried those while running?

I sighed and just sat infront of her, not saying anything.

"Let's just share on my food, instead. Besides, I'm not that starving so there's no problem," she pushed her tray towards me.

I gave her a small smile that faded eventually.

"I have no appetite anymore," I whispered.

"I'm sorry. But seriously, I'm actually surprised you can talk to him like that,"

My brows furrowed. She seems to get it so she continued.

"I mean, almost everbody in this campus respects him. And maybe because he's nice to all but..." she trailed off.

"But he's not to me," I continued. She bowed and slightly nodded.

"You see, I won't give respect if I don't receive respect. He humiliated me infront of everybody and didn't even had the guts to say sorry sincerely?!"

"I know. I'm pissed too, at what he did. But as you can see, girls would pray to the heavens that they're on your place," she said as she started eating.

"Well, too bad. I don't want to be like those girls," I answered.

The problem here is, why is his attitude like that? From what I heard from Allanis and the people around me, he's kind. So you're gonna tell me that it's only me who he doesn't treat fairly?!

I know that this is such a petty thing but I just can't accept it.

Seriously, I know he's so handsome. He's like Adonis' son but more god-like. Plus the fact that he can play sports. Not just basketball but from what I heard, he also plays soccer. Allanis also told me that he plays the guitar because he once performed during their school festival last year.

And besides the fact that his family's rich, he's also good in academics. Though, I don't know if that's a fact. So overall, he's attractive. I can't blame those girls for hyperventilating whenever he's around. But I would die first before I get to be like them. Hell no!

"They're way too head over heels to that guy. With that attitude? Now I'm thinking he's just faking he's heavenly attitude and deep inside of him, he's a devil, or I just did something wrong to him that I don't even know that's why he's rude,"

Allanis just laughed and insisted me to eat her food. I ate some few spoons just to shut her up.

"You go ahead, Jiana. I'm just gonna run some errands," she said after we eat as she handed me two hard bound and heavy looking books that I didn't even noticed she was carrying.

"W-what?" I asked.

I tried to stop her from leaving me but she just waved her hands and proceeded waling away.

I just sighed and cleaned all my things.

I returned the tray back to tha cafe as people were staring at me. I raised a brow and confidently strutted my way, not taken aback by there obvious chattering.

As soon as I returned it, I then quietly walked through pathways and some buildings since the cafe we were in are a bit too far from our building.

There are too many people flooding the corridors. Obviously because it's lunch time. I hugged the books I'm carrying tightly to prevent it from falling.

Upon walking and almost stumbling, I san Lucas walking way too ahead of me. He's alone. I didn't saw his bees surrounding him. But the people, mostly girls who're passing by him greets him.

Him, alone? Impossible.

Or if he is alone, it's a miracle.
