The officer with blue eyes walked up to the bed and took off his helmet. He had short, brown hair and apparently wore glasses. "I am First Lieutenant Loid Vanderson and I'm one of the Great Knights that this castle. I lead a team of... special fighters and I will be training you to fight as well, evil witch. I'll be training you so that you don't die because there aren't many witches in the world. That said, this ship is a target to everyone, so I'd assume that plenty of witches would attack it too. Anyway, your mom is actually pretty powerful, but most definitely not as powerful as me." Loid said, smirking a bit while saying that last comment. "Well then, I guess I'll be going with you after I thank the doctors, sir?" I said, getting up out of the bed. I actually had to pause a few times because it was so painful. "Wait, you don't plan on training in that state, right?" Loid said, disapprovingly. "Well, no, but I don't want to occupy this hospital bed instead of where I'll be staying, because I assume it's pretty important," I said, struggling a little bit so I could get up. "You don't need to go now. This is the bed for monsters like you. I'll bring my team here to introduce you to them, so you stay here. Understood?" Loid said, giving me a warning glance. "Yes, sir," I said, getting back in the bed. Loid left the room and another person came in, and I recognized them.
There was a metallic click and I noticed that I was now strapped into the bed. I then noticed who was coming to see me, the queen. I looked up at her, shaking with fear. "Hello there, little witch. I knew you were an oddity when I saw you. I can't believe that your own mom would put you in this boat! As a Looker, no less!" The queen said, laughing while looking down at me. "Guards, you may be excused." The queen said. The soldier with green eyes seemed shocked. He said "B-But, my queen! What if that thing tries to attack you?!" The queen turned around, clearly annoyed. "I said, you may be excused." The queen said, menacingly. "Y-Yes ma'am!" The soldier said, hurrying out of the room. "Melody, I hope you don't get too comfortable. Don't worry though, you aren't going to be treated that badly because you can't control who you're mom and dad are. I can't believe that.. that stupid woman." The queen said, visibly angry. "Also, why haven't you healed yourself yet?" The queen said, looking at me for an answer. "U-Um... I didn't know I could do that." I said, looking at the queen for answers. "Well, you know that warmness you feel when you activate your powers? Spread it around your body. Visualize your body slowly being filled with liquid." The queen said, looking a bit disappointed in her niece.
"Oh, okay..." I said, trying to do that. I felt my magic spread throughout my body as the queen said. I looked down and noticed that my body was healed. "T-Thank you!" I said to the queen, smiling. "No need to thank me. I guess my incompetent sister didn't teach you much magic, did she?" The queen said, snapping her finger and smirking. The metal chains holding me to the bed retracted. "U-Um... are there more people like me here?" I said, getting out of the bed. "Well, aren't you a noisy one? I don't mind if it's my niece though. I don't have that black of a heart."The queen said, laughing a bit. "Well, I guess I'll answer that for you. There are only a few witches in the world, and, besides me and my sister, there's one more witch here. Her name is Marie. You'll be learning your magic from her and your mom. Do you want to know why your mom is so hated?" The queen said, glancing at me. "Y-Yes, please!" I said, wanting to know more. "Well, it's because of that monster that she made you with. Tch, she didn't even marry him, and of course, she'd skip over the part where he's part demon and has killed hoards of men on a whim.
As you could see, that wretched man can't even tell who his own daughter is when his demon side takes over. He's so irritable, too, so it's inevitable that he would snap sooner or later." The queen said, angrily. I knew that he was a bit of a bad guy because even with all the good memories I got, I got even more... unpleasant memories. I admit he's not a good guy, but... he helped me and Tommy loves him so I can't hate him. "U-Um... Can I use my magic to patch up scars? I've also got some from... unfortunate circumstances." I asked, cringing at the really painful memories I remembered. "Well, no. There's no way to get rid of those. Um... Actually, you can meet with me once a week to work on your healing skills, since it's my specialty." The queen said, patting my head a bit. "Also, when we're alone you can call auntie. Now get going, Loid can get impatient." The qu- I mean my aunt said, turning and starting to walk out. "Thank you! I love you, auntie!" I said, running and hugging my aunt. She started laughing really hard and hugged me back, to my surprise. I said bye to my aunt and then practically skipped out the door.
