As the year progress the attention that Marien hoping from her prof.Asuncion had been possible. One day prof Asuncion had made an announcement about a field trip in one of the famous museum,and he make it sure everyone in their class will be present.
The field trip had made her and prof Asuncion closer.Since then, he become one of the friends of Marien, until they are secretly dating and he become her boyfriend, her friends accepted defeat, give in and happy about their relationship, her family's reaction is another story.
" What? he is your professor?",her dad wild outburst when she finally introduced him as her boyfriend.
" Yes papa!" she answered calmly confirming it, he firmly disagree with her decision to have a relationship with her college instructor, Carlo is just intently listening to their exchanges of opinion.
" Honey, he is too old for you, beside you are too young for a relationship, i beleive what you feel right now is just an infatuation", her mom said, seems Carlo do not exist beside her.She hold his hand tight as if assuring him to calm down and eveything will be alright.
" Ma, age doesn't matter, what's important is that we love each other besides i' m nineteen, of legal age to fall in love", Marien explain defending her love.
" Que horror,Marien you will pass as his daughter!",his dad will not listen to her explaination .
Her prof Asuncion which now she referred to as Carlo decided to transfer to another university , that decision cause them disagreement, she don't want him to transfer because she wanted to be with him always ..
"I don't want them to question my moral value just because I fall in love with you, beside I want to marry you after the school year end,by that time i am done with my law study",, Carlo explained.
" Really?wow i am so happy to hear that, i'm sure dad will go wild when he hear that, but you make me so happy!", she hug him tight, she has no intention of asking him about his girlfriend of ten years, she is afraid that it might remind him of his previous love and he might change his mind about marrying her.
True to his words after taking the BAR examination, ,they got married in a civil ceremony. Her parents no longer argue when she agreed to marry Carlo. They know how much she loves him, how hard she fought to be with him, eventhough they disagree on her decision they give in because they know she will be happy,they just requested for her to finish her college while they do not have a child of their own. A month after their wedding she had a visitor.

" He is in the university right now, may I know who you are ma'am?I will just call him to let him know you're here", Marien softly ask her.
" I am Lori," the woman said.
" Are you related to Carlo? ", she innocently asked smiling, she had met very few of his relatives.
" I am his girlfriend, we' d been in a relationship for ten years." the woman said Marien felt as if she was stabbed big time right in the middle of her heart.
" Sorry, I don 't know," deep inside she know she's lying , she just intentionally avoid the topic about this woman, the smile on her face
automatically gone.
What she saw right now is a glamorous beautiful woman, she never thought she will have to face this moment with her husband's ex girllfriend. She cannot decide if she will let her inside the condo or let her just wait downstair. She had decided on the latter, it will make her more comfortable if they will just talk in the cafeteria downstair while waiting for her husband to join them there, she had informed him already, she can sense pain in Lori's eyes but she simply ignore it.
"It was their affair they were the one to talk and settle it on their on." she mentally talk to herself.
" How did you two met?",Lori ask her.
" He is my college professor," she confessed.
" I can see you're so young , people who do not know you will mistaken you for his daughter", Lori said in a friendly chat.
"Carlo is so gorgeous and a lot of girls in our department admire him and I am one of them", she said.
"I see , how old are you now?", she asked.
" I am twenty," she answered.
