Elizabet and Heather moved quickly as soon as the spell was cast. They would need to use the spell to the best of their ability. If they didn't find the boy in the 10 minutes the spell that was assisting them would end and their task would become infinitely more difficult. Elizabet and Heather used their coven link to speak to each other telepathically. Elizabet thanked her lucky stars for Hattie and Flora, without them the telepathic link would not have been available.
The two entered the house, Elizabet headed West while Heather took the East wing of the complex. Divide and conquer. Elizabet could hear in her mind Flora's voice provide how much longer the spell was going to last. As each minute ticked by Elizabet became more anxious. This was their chance, if they failed they wouldn't be given another opportunity. The enemy would know and vanish once again and take the boy with them, their seeker, their key.
Elizabet gulped when she heard Flora's sweet voice echo in her head '5 minutes left'.
Heather on the other hand was calm, her heart rate slow and steady. She watched the humans around her. Trying to understand their movements. They would be the ones who would help her identify where the boy was being hidden, where this Matthew was.
Heather followed some men that mentioned prisoners and cocked her head to the side. She closed her eyes and concentrated. There was a sleeping boy in the basement of the complex, far removed from the military men that she now found herself surrounded by. She then closed her eyes again this time concentrating on the coven link and she reached out to Elizabet letting her know what she had found.
Heather's information came seconds before the 4 minutes remaining countdown by Flora. Elizabet came running over swerving between the men and eventually standing before Heather and a prison like door. Heather lifted her eyes and her hand and pointed at the room. "He's in there."
"With 3 and a half minutes to spare."
"Yes, but-"
"But our key needs a key." Elizabet interrupted. "We can use coven magic?"
"Do you suspect there is enough?" Heather paused looking intently at the steel door. "Enough magic?"
"It's now or never, right?"
Heather nodded and reached for Elizabet's hand. Together they called forth the power of their sisterhood, their coven. A small glow began to emit from their hands that had rested on the lock. The light grew in intensity and at it's peak Elizabet heard a click and the light quickly evaporated.
The magic that had been hiding them began to flicker there time was nearly up. Elizabet stood by the door while Heather looked at the unconscious boy. She called for her mare and began to struggle to lift the boy up on her mare.
While Heather was struggling, Elizabet stood guard. She noticed two militia men walking down the hall towards her. Elizabet let her inner succubus demon out and when her scent wafted to their noises, they were hers. Their eyes became glassy, "You two will definitely curb the appetite I worked up opening the lock."
The men didn't really seem to hear her, or at the very least they didn't understand her true intentions. Elizabet wrapped her hands around the first and pulled him in for a kiss. She took the man for all he had and he fell dead to the floor his eyes still wide open. "Your turn my love." She cooed to the man drawing him closer and just like the first, she took his very life force and he fell with a loud thump to the floor.
Elizabet walked back to the room to see Heather emerging with a shadowy black horse carrying their boy. "About time." Elizabet shrugged. "Now begins the real fun."
Heather shook her head, "The boy was far more difficult to put on the mare than expected." Heather turned her head and noticed the two men dead on the floor. "Well, now I see why you didn't help me."
"Let's go!"
"No unnecceary risks, we have this boy now to take care of. If anything happens to him we are screwed!"
"Yeah, yeah, don't get your knickers into a twist." Elizabet retorted and began to head down the hall.
"Do you suspect It is here?" Heather asked as her eyes darted around ready to fight as necessary.
Elizabet shook her head, "if It was here we would never had made it as far as we did."
The two women and the shadow mare carrying the unconscious boy moved through the halls. Elizabet was disappointed when she noticed the door to their freedom that lay before them and they had yet to encounter any additional 'bad guys'!
Unfortunately for her she thought their freedom was here too soon. Because suddenly they were surrounded, "Well shit!" No wonder we didn't run into anyone they were getting ready to ambush us she thought to herself. As she looked around her she realized that there were too many of the for her to use her abilities.
