It had happened so fast, Emmeline could barely comprehend how it had happened. She was grabbed from the alley, the hands wrapping around her arms and her mouth, but not before she could let a scream out.
The scream alerted Matthew and Ania. When Matthew saw the gun, he pushed Ania to the floor behind a dumpster and he followed suit. He grabbed Ania and they started moving backwards away from the men using the dumpster as cover. There were several shots fired, but then there was silence and then screeching tires. Gregory stepped out from behind the dumpster. He cursed his cowardice, but he was no match for several armed men. They moved to quickly and to uniformly for him to have actually done anything.
Gregory had to do something. They had to do something and quickly because every second they wasted was a second Emmeline moved further away.

When Emmeline had been grabbed by the unknown men. She was kicking and screaming and making a fuss. Eventually, she felt a shock surge through her body and she blacked out.
Emmeline had been tased, not enough to do any real damage, but enough to knock her out. When she was unconscious it was easy for the men to take her and put her into the limousine. The men didn't have to worry about alerting anyone else in the vicinity with her screaming. Not that witnesses mattered, they could easily be dealt with.
Emmeline slowly blinked her eyes open. She had a slight headache. She found herself laying sideways on a seat of smooth black leather. A chill went through her body. Her hands and feet were bound tightly. She could not kick or free herself.
After Emmeline's eyes adjusted to the dim light she found that there was a man sitting across from her.
Emmeline tried to sit up, but with her legs and hands bound she found it difficult.
The man across from her chuckled. It wasn't a friendly laughter, it was terrifying. Emmeline was determined and on her third try she was able to set herself upright.
Emmline could take a better look at the man across from her. Her eyes grew large. "Henry?!?"
The man smiled. "Emmeline, it is so good to have you here with me."
Emmeline frowned, this couldn't be Henry could it. No? But Emmeline wasn't sure. She had never been close to her brother so she couldn't be sure.
"You're not my brother, you're not Henry." Emmeline stated, but her voice shook and it came off as more of a question.
He laughed, "No, of course not. I ate him after you shot and ruined my perfectly good body. I needed a new one. His soul was mangled and corrupted. He was a perfect choice for a new host."
Emmeline didn't say anything and she tried to school her face. She wasn't sure how long they had been driving for or where they were headed. So, this man was not her brother.
"Mr. Williams?"
The man smirked. "Well, I suppose technically..." he trailed off and laughed at his own private joke.
Mr. Williams was also the beast. "What are you?" Emmeline questioned, trying to understand.
He shook his head and leaned in close. He put a finger under her chin and forced her to meet his gaze. Emmeline could feel his long nail against her neck. She tried to maintain a steady breath, her heart was another matter. It was beating wildly. "In due time. In due time."
Mr. Williams then brought his lips to hers. She wanted to puke. She wanted to scream. She wanted to tear this man apart. But she was tied and so she settled on biting his lower lip and hard!
Mr. Williams sat back and stared at her. Emmeline spit, his blood was disgusting. He was disgusting. Emmeline was surprised when he didn't yell or didn't hit her. Instead he laughed. A deep laugh and his belly shook. "You my dearest treat will be wonderful. I can't wait to claim you."
Emmeline furrowed her brows. She was confused, it didn't sound like marriage. What did he want with her? She wanted to ask. But before she could...
There was a loud screeching, cracking and whining sound. A dump truck had T-boned the limousine that Mr. Williams and Emmeline were in. Emmeline's head smacked against the glass, she could feel blood trailing down her face. Her vision was blurry and her entire body hurt. She could hear shots being fired.
Emmeline could feel that her she was scooped up. She looked up and noticed it was Gregory. Was she dreaming?
Shots were being fired back. Emmeline was thrusted into the back seat of one of the black SUVs. Ania hopped into the drivers seat. Gregory fired back and then followed Emmeline in the back seat.
"DRIVE." Gregory shouted.
Ania pushed the gas to the floor and their car pulled out like a bat out of hell.
"Ania since when have you known how to drive?" Emmeline asked curious as to why she was driving. But as she thought about it, it made sense, Gregory had to make sure she was in the back seat safely.
"I've been tagging along with Matthew. This should be so difficult." Ania spoke shrugging her shoulders.
Emmeline smiled, she was doing just fine. She felt Gregory sway next to her.
"I'm not feeling so good." Gregory spoke before passing out.
Emmeline turned and noticed the blood seeping through his shirt. Emmeline screamed from shock, but quickly she regained her senses. She had to act quickly, he was losing too much blood. She ripped her dress, trying to bandage up the wound, trying to stop the bleeding.
