He doesn't know what's going on with him. Why is he suddenly feeling something for this girl? Shouldn't this feeling be gone by now? The brains he ate was definitely no longer in effect, so why? He kept gazing into her eyes, completely dazed by her natural beauty. In one swoop she grabbed something solid and heavy behind him and tried knocking him to his knees, but that didn't seem to do a thing.
He may be dead, but for a zom like him. He still had the strength and he stood there in front of her as the hit only made his face slightly turn his gaze away from her. His eyes looked back at her and then his head followed his gaze. He heard the moans and harmful snarls coming from his group who were finished eating her friends. He didn't want them to know about her presence so he did what he only knew would work.
He smeared the man's rotting flesh he ripped from his neck and smeared all over her clothes. Cloaking her scent, soon the harmful snarls died down and the zoms began to leave as the new zoms rose from the ground and followed suit with the group. He turned away from her to scan if there were anymore zoms around the area who might've still smelled her scent, but the moment he looked back where she was.
She was gone, nowhere insight to be found. he couldn't track her because of the scent he masked her with. Suddenly, he felt a sense of hope that he'd see her again someday. Someday, soon...
He then wandered off with his group, a tad bit behind. Once he arrived back at the junkyard with the group, he sat on the ground in front of his bus. A fellow zom sitting next to him, he gazed out in front of him, and with such feelings tingling in his body he gazed over at the zom sitting next to him.
He stared for a bit until the zom felt his gaze. He stared back at him, suddenly he tried to form words with his mouth. Still, only nothing but fumbled croaks and moans came out. Well, that failed... He looked down at the ground, forgetting about trying to make conversation. Slowly as the day went on, he was feeling mindless again. Lacking knowledge all over again...
Then somehow, it was like his brain had a spark of lightning. He saw the girl again as if she was there, he lifted his hands to touch her, but only to find that she wasn't real. It was an illusion and his face formed a small frown, he got up from the ground and entered his bus. He stood there for a moment, scanning over his valued belongings then his eyes fell on the front seat where he'd lay his corpse.
He fell onto the seat, letting his arm hang over the side and his knees on the floor as his torso laid atop the seat. A soft moan escaped his lips and his eyes closed, he laid there as if he was sleeping, but his body was shutting down. Zombies never dream only humans can have that ability, but as of what happened today. His brain felt like it flipped a switch as he saw an allusion of the girl for only two seconds.
The next day, his main group of zoms was walking out and about in the town. They came across what was worse than zoms, that was the spedoz. They're crazy, smart, adaptable, and fast. One was eating up on rotten flesh of an old zom that looked to be killed by a survivor. The spedoz snarled at the zoms as they walked by gazing at the corpse and the spedoz. They took the warning to stay away from the spedoz meal.
Spedoz is the creature whose flesh has rotted but later became mummified. For mummy looking creatures, they definitely don't have toilet paper wrapped around their bodies. their faces are caved in, giving their cheekbones and jaw more definition. Somehow, their teeth are sharper than the zoms. That's because they sharpen them on bones of the fresh and rotting meals.
It's never a good thing for a zom to challenge a spedoz because the spedoz would always win and the zom would end up being eaten and not spared. It's genuinely like the survival of the fittest between the two, but the humans are generally unbalancing the food chain because there is no such thing as the food chain. It's like the circle of life only much more sickening.
instead of cannibals, it's zombies and spedoz. They continued on their wandering trek, ending up by the far side of town where there's the rest of the valley and then the mountains. They wander through the fields of farms, pushing the fences down as they walk.
The zoms in front of him push the fences down, their bodies catching onto the barbed wires and the flesh slowly ripping and tearing as they push. Soon the fences go down and the flesh from the zombies tear as they walk over the fallen fence. Some are stuck to it, so they fall down with it. Sometimes, if the zoms smart enough to keep going, they'll pull their flesh off as they crawl over the fence.
Luckily, he was at least smart enough to stay in the back of the group, he may seem more mindless and aimless, but the feeling the girl has given him is barely fading. He wanted to see her again, but he doesn't know if that'll happen. Soon, only he hears a cry of help. He stops in his tracks and his gaze follows the sound.
He wanders away from his group and approaches the sound. The closer he gets to the sound, he spotted the girl. He approaches her slowly and soon sees a zom coming after her. He doesn't know what happened or how it happened, but his legs suddenly seemed to be working better. His legs automatically took off running and he ran passed her, knocking her down.
He ran into the zom and he pushes him down as the zom pulled him with. He never liked the taste of bitter rotting flesh, but at that moment he didn't care. This zom was going to rip the girl he wanted to see so badly again open. he tore into that zom like he was spedoz, and smashed the brain of the zom. The girl stared at him with a shocked and disgusted gaze.
Her features looked as if she was studying him. She knew this isn't normal for a zom to attack it's fellow zom and wondered what it was about him that acted like this. Even he couldn't understand it, for the first time he knew what satisfaction felt like for he was done murdering the zom. He couldn't understand why he was helping a human who was alive, let alone the fact that she made him feel alive himself.
He got up from the ground off the dead zom and he turned around, gazing at her. She was still on the floor and her fear returned as she thought he was going to rip into her and eat her. He never moved, not wanting to frighten her anymore than she already is. Somehow, he felt to lift his arm and hold up his palm in the air. Indicating he meant no harm to her.
He stepped away from the dead zom closer to her, closing the gap, but only the 3 feet apart from her now. He crouched his arm still extended, he was trying to smile, but he stopped because he guessed that scared her more as she crawled further away. Instead, he lowered his arm to his side and stayed put.
He kept gazing at her, admiring her beauty once again. he noticed how her cheeks had a faint, but bright rosy red blush to them. How pink her lips were and how soft and delicate they looked. Her eyes were so green he swore they were made from emeralds. Her hair was flowing in the wind, no strands in her face. Allowing him for a better view of her naturally beautiful features.
He admired her beauty and he wanted so badly to get to know her, so once again he felt the urge to speak. His lips forming a simple word. She gazed at him now questioning, there was a definite hint of fear in her eyes so he remained put. Still trying to speak. "Are you trying to... talk?" She asked, slowly sitting up.
He moved his head up and down slowly, hoping that was a sign of yes. Apparently, it was because she soon sat up a little straighter, her expression evident of curiosity. "How are you not acting like the other zoms? You seem to act a little more... well, how do I put this... an animal and human." She wanted to get closer to him for better study, but she thought it'd be better to stay put in case he might try to wat her.
He stayed crouched, he extended his legs out from under him now sitting on his bottom and his back resting against the wall of the wooden building. They both heard moaning coming from the side of the building, she got up from her feet within a flat second. He shot up quickly as well, but not as fast as her.
Out of nowhere she grabbed for his wrist and yanked him with her. Surprised, he tried his best to keep up for his legs felt like dead weight. he didn't know she'd be dragging him along with her and if his heart was working he was sure it'd be pounding out of his chest. His wrist felt her warmth from her hand, he liked the way she was pulling on him as they both ran out of there.
Soon, they stumbled upon a farmhouse. She stopped in front of the entrance letting go of his wrist. he could still feel the warmth linger on his wrist from her hand. "Well, looks like I'll have to stay here for the night." With that said, he stared at her tilting his head slightly to the right. She noticed his stare and somehow she seemed calmer, but still alert.
She couldn't trust him yet. She doesn't know if there were more zoms like him who were this smart. She thought he may be playing at a game to get her to trust him so he could eat her right then and there when the trust has been established. Though, that's not his intention at all.
She entered the building, but he didn't want to scare her so he remained a few feet behind her. She searched the house for zoms, but luckily there wasn't anyone. She scanned the kitchen hoping there may be canned food. She found a can of peaches and oranges. She busted them open and began eating, she curious if he'd eat this so she scooped some and grabbed for his hand. he retracted his hand away, thinking she might do something bad to it and he didn't want to scare her.
"It's alright, let me see your hand. I just want you to try this and let me know if you like it." her experimentation was in progress when he did what she said. he shoved them into his mouth as she did, but the taste alone didn't sit well in his mouth. He spat it out, and his face cringed. She let out a small laugh amused by his expression
Her laugh sounded so good, it soothed him. The way her voice sounded cause soothing vibrations in his ears that traveled down through his body. He liked the way she spoke, it was like her voice was the music of its own melody.
