Shua!
Yuan Tai felt an instant connection to Bing'er after the contract was signed. It was almost as if he knew what Bing'er was thinking.
"If you call up your status, you can see your contracted pet's status as well," Overseer Lin mentioned.
'Status.'

Yuan Tai looked at Bing'er's status and noticed a weird point system all the way at the bottom. He scrunched his eyebrows and looked up to Overseer Lin before asking, "What is this EP thing?"
"You really are a newbie," said Overseer Lin before giving a light giggle. "EP, also known as Evolution Points. These points are used to make your beast rise in rank. The higher it's rank, the more strength it has. It rises it's stats according to it's rank. If it's common, it receives no bonus stats.
Should your pet turn Uncommon, he would get 2+ points for every stat.
The way a beast should rank up should be through fighting and gaining experience. It even gains points through leveling up it's skills. If your pet accumulates 100 evolution points, he would meet the requirements to level up to Uncommon. After that, 200 points would be required to rank up to the next level.
100 more would be added each time for the next rank up."
"That's… pretty amazing," said Yuan Tai as he looked at Bing'er. "So you're telling me that Bing'er has the chance to become an Epic beast?"
Overseer Lin looked at Bing'er and smiled, "Yes. Maybe even further."
"..." Yuan Tai stopped and looked at Bing'er as the fox looked at him as well. 'I never considered having Bing'er be a high rank. I just wanted to stop growing until I took back King City...'
Yuan Tai said before rubbing his chin and petting Bing'er with a smile.
"Let's take this slow."
"Why did you come to the fighting grounds?" asked Overseer Lin.
"I came here in order to train. I need some experience fighting," said Yuan Tai as he clenched his fist. 'I can't just level up and go to the Tiger Gang and expect them to hand over King City to me without a fight.'
"Hmm… I can do something about that," said Overseer Lin as she put a finger on her lips.
"..." Yuan Tai remained quiet as he waited for her to continue what she was going to say. She stood there for a couple of minutes blankly staring forward before looking up at Yuan Tai with a smile.
"I will transfer you over to someone who can set up fights for you against those in the same level as you," said Overseer Lin before leading Yuan Tai to the place he needs to be at.
Yuan Tai passed by many rings and noticed the number of people declining the farther into the underground fighting ground they went.
The amount of spectators attending decreased, and the number of participating people hardly changed.
There were many new contestants that there wasn't a single lone ring. Each one was being occupied.
"Does this fighting grounds have a name or something like that?" asked Yuan Tai as he walked closely behind Overseer Lin.
Overseer Lin glanced at Yuan Tai and gave a helpless smile, "There should be an extent to your ignorance. Hais~. This place is called War God House. A place where people can fight against others to their heart's content."
"Wow, that's such an attention grabbing name," said Yuan Tai with a twitching lip.
"Indeed. It was supposed to be called something different, but the idea was scrapped along with the layout of the buildings," said Overseer Lin with a shake of her head.
"Buildings?"
"Yeah. There's a building like this in many cities, towns, and even small villages. It's an essential for some skills to be leveled up. There are places where specific skills can be leveled up through certain jobs," said Overseer Lin with a small smile.
"Did you know that you can earn points through winning fights too?"
Yuan Tai's eyes widened at Overseer Lin's words as he looked at the amount of people with shock.
'That's why there are a lot of people in this place! I should have known about this sooner… would've made everything easier.'
