Chapter 46 - Chapter 45

"as we all witness the burial of our beloved sister who was a kind, loving and caring daughter. We pray that she finds and hopefully sees peace at the end of this journey, the journey which she has taken... That of solitude. Psalm 30:5 says 'weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning'. Brethren and sisters, she may be so dead now but not for too long 'cos on our day of morning we shall be filled with joy by the grace of God by beholding ourselves at the throne of God. Amen....... May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace". The Reverend said, making the sign of the cross. "Amen" the crowd said.

Everyone were all returning to their houses. Aunties, uncles, cousins, nephews, niece, etc came to witness the burial of their beloved.

Mariam was still busy crying as one of their church member patted her.

Davidson was nowhere to be found, same as Chloe. But Max was in the driver's seat of the vehicle waiting for everyone to get in so he can get going. "C'mon now Wilson" Max bellowed Wilson. "Nah,go along. I'll be home in a jiffy" he replied. "You sure?" Max asked. "Let's go Max, leave him for all I care. O lord!" Mariam said still weeping in the car as they drove home.

Paschal on the other hand, just stood at the mortuary. Pale and undefined. He hasn't still recovered from yesterday's shock and he's facing another one.

Just then Wilson was approaching him. Paschal wasn't in the mood for any fights now,he wished to be alone. He only prayed silently as Wilson approached him, that Wilson would pass him and mind his own business even if he's outward appearance weren't showing any sign of prayers.

But Wilson stopped halfway beside him and they looked at each other for some time. Each finding what the other suffered the most.

And surprisingly,quite simultaneously,they hugged.

Giving each other a tight hug, they cried in despair, two grown men crying like babies.

After about so many minutes of crying, they let go of each other.

"I'm sorry" Wilson said.

"I'm sorry too" Paschal replied.

"I know you love her,but I loved her too" Wilson said. Paschal just looked on at outer space.

Definitely all the words recommended by the dictionary were not in his head again.

Wilson gave him a huge pat saying; "sorry man" and left to his place of weeping.

Everyone had where to go out and pour their pains and sorrows secretly, Wilson wasn't the only one who had a place of weeping, Paschal also had.
