Getsuga checked the house for anything that could be useful to her, before the incident ever happened, she had plans of leaving the village once she was awakened
Now that everyone in town was dead, she had even more reason to leave the place. There was no way she was going to survive staying in such a place on her own for a very long
The system had deemed her crazy already, as shown in her status, further staying away from civilization could increase the title from psychotic to something even worse
Touring the rooms she separated everything into batches, the useful and the useless batch. She didn't know how long it would take her to get to a town, but from the trips she could vaguely remember, it wasn't an easy journey
She had to secure nonperishable foods, clothes and most importantly money. She couldn't arrive at the new town and be penniless
She didn't just stop at her parents house though, she ransacked every residence and sorted out all she found into different categories
Her loot definitely was plentiful, but now there was a question of how she would carry it all
It took her a whole day to finish sorting all she could, further breaking down what she would take along with her to a smaller pile, before she locked up the rest in different rooms
If fate allowed her, she'd be back to get them, slowly but surely she made her way over to her grandmother's residence, well now her residence, entering it and making way to the shine house in the corner
Her grandmother once told her
"No matter what happened, regardless of how desperate she got, you would only enter the shrine room after you have awakened.
Promise me child"
Her grandmother was a woman that was usually sweet and tender towards her, but when she said those words, her face was stern and it carried an authority with it, so Getsuga made a vow to never enter the room.
It was hard sticking to that decision especially after her grandmother died, her life in the village was hell, although the hits she got ever since she left her parents home had reduced to zero, she was still a child and the mental abuse she received was just as disastrous as physical pain.
On many occasions she was tempted to go inside to take a look, but only because she didn't want to betray her grandmother, sullying her request did she hold back, but now she had finally awakened and could go in.
Getsuga opened the door and stepped into the shrine room, the atmosphere inside homely and welcoming to her like a fish that was drawn to water.
She could feel a presence in this room that wasn't present in the outside world, Nether.
The shrine room was small and looked well kept even with the lack of presence or hands looking after it since her grandmother died a few years back.
The shrine lacked any windows and the walls were filled with weird inscriptions and and drawing similar to the papyrus of the Egyptians in Getsuga's former life.
The only things present was an alter with a necklace and a piece of paper written underneath it.
While Getsuga wanted to study the inscrions and see if she could learn anything from it, she felt a calling, a longing from the altar, the necklace to be precise, so she went towards it.
Picking up the necklace apart from the overwhelming feeling of nether she could sense in it, it just looked like an old antic.
The string of the necklace seemed to be made of leather that was wound over itself and decorated with fangs at set intervals on the lower end, 3 on each side of pendant shaped like a chinese dragon, from her previous life, curled up.
The material for the pendant itself looked like it was the same as the fangs that could be found on either side of the pendant, so it was carved from a larger fang or a tusk.
The pendant also had weird inscriptions drawn over it but that only added to it beauty, it was made to look like the scales of the dragon and gave the dragon a vivid life like image, even the touch felt real.
Setting the necklace aside for a while, Getsuga decided to go through the note that was left on the altar.
The paper was certainly aged, the quality was far off from the white clear paper she could remember from her last life, she wondered if it was the same everywhere in this world, or only because she was in the middle of nowhere.
Sitting with her back to the altar she brought the note closer to her face to read it's content.
'Hello child
It definitely has been a while, I wouldn't ask you if you have been well as I have an inkling of how things would proceed after my passing
I'm sorry that I couldn't do anything more to prepare you before I passed on, but my time had finally arrived
Now if you're reading this, it means you have awakened and heeded my warning of not entering the room before you awakened
I didn't do that out of spite or as a joke, but to protect you, if you were able to stay in the room long enough to read this message then you have have realized the existence of nether, and have awakened using it too
If you entered the room without awakening, the nether would have rushed into your body and killed you. Nether is such a power
Invasive, destructive and perverse, which is why I left such instructions, if you however awakened in ether, you would have just felt discomfort and would have to leave the room as soon as possible, and wouldn't have gotten the chance to read this
I'll cut this short
So what choice did you make?
Did you save the clan or did you end it?
Whatever you did, do not let your decision bother you, you just fulfilled your part in the long destiny that had been passed down from the ancient times.
The artifact on the note is one that can only be activated by one who has met the requirements and I believe you're that person
Just put up a drop of your blood on the artifact and it should accept you
I know you have a lot of questions a lot to talk about, but after the artifact accepts you
You will naturally come to know of them, go ahead and live your life Getsuga.
Become the moon blade that strikes fear into those who cross your path
Love
Grandma.
With the amount of weird shit Getsuga had gone through today, this wasn't enough to shock her anymore
The weak and useless tribe she was reincarnated into, the very one that treated her as trash and drove her to the point of Insanity actually had a powerful background
Getsuga couldn't even bring herself to laugh. This wasn't how it all supposed to go
She shouldn't have died, she should have remained with her family, she didn't asked to be dragged into this hellhole and live such a life, but now even if she tried, there was no way back to her previous world.
Her could no longer see her mother act all muddle headed as she ate her breakfast early in the morning, her brother as he watched his anime and TV shows, her father in the conversations the had every evening just before he set out for work
It was all gone. Even in the new world, the only one that shows her any affection and cared for her was gone too, all that was left was the phantom of the woman that put her through hell over and over again.
The bitch that was supposed to be her mother, and the priestess who couldn't even do her Job right
Raising her head both phantoms appeared before, Getsuga faced both of them, her face contorted into one of anger, grief and anguish.
She raised her finger, biting hard on it to draw blood, she then used that hand to pick up the artifact, allowing her drop to bleed on it.
All through her actions, her eyes never left the phantoms in front of her, so many thoughts running through her head about what to do to them, each one worse that the last
The phantoms stood there blankly like puppets or robots on standby waiting for commands.
"Awaken"
At those word they both jolted up, like someone that had been surprised by a call, staring around before finding Getsuga spotted on the ground.
However the ominous aura and the miasma emitting from her body and the object in her hand made her look more like a demon than a young elf.
After the incident in the morning they both felt like they had been dragged into the abyss, were pain and suffering was unending, no words could explain what they had how through after seeing her brutal smile and hearing her words, and now that devil and called for them once more.
"Kneel"
Her words rang out and both phantoms were forced to the ground by a powerful force
"Burn"
Their bodies caught on fire yet it still existed, they were burning, feeling the heat, the pain all the inconvenience and hurt but their body didn't burn out.
Their screams field the air and Getsuga watched on, her hands still clenching the artifact.
