It had been 10 years since Yyath joined the sect. He knew he had to explore the world but he couldn't remember why, just that his goal was to experience the various aspects of what the world had to offer.
While he wasn't the strongest one in the sect, he had learned all that he could learn from this place and it was time he made his move.
Entering his master's abode he sat waiting in the courtyard for him to finish his calligraphy. It wasn't polite to interrupt his master when he was in the process of creation.
A short while had passed in silence as Yyath watched his master write powerful words into the canvas, each stroke showing hints of his mastery and control over his body and energy. He was finally done
Yyath helped his master spread the writing out to dry before tidying up the set. He bowed to his master before taking a seat opposite him. He thought for a short while how to break the news but his master beat him to it.
"I see Yyath that you have finally come to a decision, the time for you to leave is here isn't it?"
The master spoke with a smile on his usually stiff face.
Yyath coul count how many times he had seen his matter smile in the past ten years on one hand, but here it was.
"I knew the day would come when you would have to leave, and I had prepared for that, you do not have to say any unnecessary, just be careful, take care of yourself and remember all that I have taught you"
After uttering those word the old master shut his eyes and waited for his prized pupil to leave.
Noah performed a ritual done by student to master , showcasing a dance with his soul weapon, a sheathed katana before kowtowing to his master three times
"Thank you for everything master, and do take care of yourself"
Noah got up afterwards and made his way outside, but as he reached the door, he had a voice from inside
"If you ever get tired, or lack a place to rest, whether you're done with your journey or not, you're always welcome here, this is your home"
Yyath turned around and flashed a devilishly handsome smile at the old master
"I won't stand on ceremony then"
Before he walked out shutting the door behind him

The time for action had finally arrived, the growing tensions between the Dwain family and the warrior from Holmes had reached an all time high, and now only one party could survive
Yyath wouldn't let himself be the conquered, Holmes never taught that, it was time he put an end to the Dwains.
Donning his armour and armed with his sword, he made his way to the Dwain manor.
The gates of the Dwain manor had to warriors at the peak stage of the mortal realm, but if he was going to make his way inside and start a massacre, he couldn't give the Dwains any time to react, so assassination was key.
Hiding in the shadows, he watched the 2 guards watching for any pattern or something he could use to his advantage, but the guards just seemed like statues. 'No helping it' he thought and decided to make a move
****
Making his way over from the shadows of the teahouse, Yyath leaped over the building and got into a blind spot for the first guard, throwing a rock on the other side of the wall drew the attention of the first guard, as he came closer to check what the disturbance was about
Yyath pulled him into the shadows with one hand over his mouth and the other around his neck, before he even had the time to react, the guard neck was snapped, his life lost.
Drawing his sword, he quickly made way over to the next guard and once again threw a pebble to the guards other side, it was only his duty and his instinct to check what was going on but that was what cause his down fall.
With one quick step and horizontal slash aimed with quick precision, Yyath took the head of the guard whose name he didn't even know. Now there was no turning back. He was at war.
*****
Yyath had successfully made his way into the manor and taking care of any stragglers he found outside through his ambushes or just running his sword right through them, but that could no longer work.
Behind the doors was a grandmaster, the same as him, even if he could assassinate him, his pride wouldn't let him. He would make this a duel and do his best. Even if he lost, the Dwain family had no chance of recovery as he had slain every other member available.
"I know you're out there, I can smell the stench of blood from you" Ahuri Dwain stated without even turning back
He was tending to his sword in the seiza position, his movements optimal, nothing wasted, his breath steady, his eyes clear without a hint of dust, it was obvious this man had lived a warriors life, a perfect killing machine.
"Warrior Yyath from Holmes, why have you come here, you walked into a family affair, interfering in our actions to take out the stain in our legacy, killed my men and burned down my property, yet I let you go in good faith"
"You know that we can no longer coexist and should have used the opportunity you had to get away, yet you chose to walk here, right to your death. Is that how you were raised"
Ahuri knew nothing of the tragedy that had befell his family, his confidence came from the fact that he was a grandmaster in the way of the sword never defeated by anyone.
"Dead, they all are" Yyath replied
"With my sword, I made sure of it, he* would have company in the afterlife"
Fire raged in Ahuri's eye
"boy, this just became personal".
With a step he grabbed his sword, turning on his heels and unsheathing his sword for a heavy slash driven by his source.
*Hidden technique: Hadouken*
But Yyath was no slouch, every movement made by Ahuri was read, and with a sidestep to avoid the katana's path he responded with a thrust charged with an fiery aura
Ahuri spun around kicking the edge of the sword and redirecting his sword to slice at Yyath with the acquired momentum.
"You're not getting away with this kid, let's see how you'd stop this"
But stabilizing his breath, Yyath took a step back and sheath his sword, with a crouch to avoid the overhead slash from his opponent. He was in the optimum position for a counter attack before Ahuri could even react, and pounce he did.
Taking a quick breath to regulate his internal energy he silently muttered as he grasped his sword.
*Quick draw: chidori*
Taking a step forward to get in range, Yyath cut Ahuri diagonally taking off his body from his waist to his left shoulder. Ahuri couldn't counter as he was still reeling from the momentum of his last strike.
The match between 2 grandmasters had come to an end. As Yyath sheath his sword the light in Johnson's eyes dimmed, his body collapsing on the floor.
Yyath lied when he said he had killed all members of the Dwain, he only attacked the parties that was involved and didn't take out anyone from his* immediate family
He* deserved that much if his* soul was going to rest in peace. Plus Yyath wasn't one to not payback a debt he owed
Yyath turned around, making his way out of the now silent courtyard without uttering a single word, with that last strike he had broken the confines of the mortal path. He was now an ascendant, but he needed to get to safety quickly, to prepare for his baptism
