Records Of The Past: Beastkin

Were once a dominant species in this vast world, especially after the end of the chaotic era. Their animalistic traits allowed them to adapt and conquer various territories and even compete with all other species

They came in various shapes and sizes, but they all had the same basic traits.

A humanoid body

Animal appendages such as the ears, tails, claws and the likes

Depending on the Beastkin, the degree of animal-like features could be minimal or even cover up most of their parts.

It is said that the Beastkin could not use the power of the elements but had raw physical strength that would put even the demons to shame.

They were warriors that destroyed all that lay in their path and bathed in the blood of their enemies. A diary found in one of the battlegrounds said although the beastkin didn't have the blessings of any element and couldn't use them, they were blessed by nature itself. It protected them, strengthening them, healing them and providing their very needs.

The ground was their bed, the heavens their roof, the forest their shelter. They were at peace in the comfort of mother nature. You might wonder if they were such a powerful race, why are they extinct.

Differences in the Beastkin themselves caused their destruction. They couldn't stand the other races so they fought them, but they also couldn't stand themselves. Although they are generally called Beastkin, they could be likened to various races as well. The lionkin was different from the bearkin which also differed from the horsekin.

When infighting had reduced the forces of the Beastkin, for the fight time ever, the other races joined hands to destroy the remnant of the Beastkin and bring an end to their time. Who knows maybe if the Beastkin never fought amongst themselves and actually put an effort into ruling Kreatia, we would have had a repeat of the chaotic era.

But that brings the question, are all Beastkin really gone, is it so easy to exterminate a race and how exactly did the Beastkin come along. This scholar has travelled the world in search of the answers and at long last I think I have found the answers.
