Volume 1, Chapter 42
Rankings
This ranking is adopted by the system and is similar to the guild rankings too
F rank: Normal human - unawakened
E rank: Early stage awakener
D rank: Mid stage awakener
C rank: High stage awakener
B rank: Peak stage awakener
A rank: Early stage ascendant
S rank: Mid Stage ascendant
SS rank: Late stage ascendant
SSS rank:Peak stage ascendant
With the exception of the F rank, each rank is subdivided into
Rank -, Rank, Rank +
Each corresponding to the state of progression in power, take for example
E -: would be an early stage awakener that just started on his path,
E: after opening his 8th energy channels there's a qualitative increase in power and he truly can be called an awakened
E+: The 15th energy channel is opened and nourish, and he prepares for his next state (ends after he completes and nourish his 20th energy channel and advances to rank D, his 21st energy channel)
All guilds, towers and institutes, (that includes the system too) system uses a class of measurement to better classify the people under them and assigned them the proper missions
They are called stats
Physical, indicated by Phy, which covers the bodily strength, durability and endurance of the person.
Agility, indicated by Agi, covers the reaction speed, movement speed, and dexterity of the person
Energy, indicated by En, covers the amount of aether each person has
Affinity, indicated by Aff, a stat attribute that has a vague explanation as a few words aren't enough to describe it, it indicates how effectively the Aether in one's body is utilised, the amount of control one has and the affinity to his element
Senses, indicated by Sen, perception, intuition, sight and the other senses fall under this category
The stat distribution gives an understanding of the individuals path
It isn't impossible for someone in the rank E- to have stats in the E+ range, as the paths and specialties of each individual differs, however with this system of classification, it's easier to measure and correctly determine the strength of each individual.
According to history, this method of classification was first designed during the chaotic era but was modified and made more accurate by the wandering sage, I wonder if he is someone just like me as this classification looks like something that came directly out of a light novel
As far as I have learnt
A warrior would have high physical and agility stats, the energy stats wouldn't be much, most times a full (major) rank below his, the affinity might be high or low, depending on his art and his own self, and for sense, it's usually the worse, however in return, they are able to detect anything within their immediate radius
As for mages, low physical and agility stats, high energy and sense stats, affinity is usually high, but those with a lower affinity have problems casting their spells or performing their arts require a longer
