"Do you know how pathetic you sound—your plan, your son, your power?" Amara groaned. "I am tired of hearing those things!"
"You and your mouth!" Rakesh turned with a mocking laugh.
"And I have no interest in your plan for revenge? for what? To make sure that you don't ruin lives!" Amara looked at him indecorously; from the corner of her eyes, she met Satya's disbelieving eyes, wondering what she was doing. Amara rolled her eyes and jerked her head, signaling Satya towards Rakesh to grab at him, and Satya nodded.
"Some would say that I am doing you a favour. Amara distracted Rakesh in talking, and Satya, without making a noise, tried to make a grab at Rakesh, but what both of them didn't see was a man coming up to the door, and the sound of the gun shot made Amara's blood run cold as she saw the blood splatter on the ground and hear the thud of him falling. Her heart stopped before her eyes moved from the blood to Satya lying down, his shirt soaked in blood.
