"Rest in peace, Lance. No mere mob character can win against a heroine's halo."
X says to himself, as he imagines the poor brunet's last breath being beaten out of him by harem member number two, Rin. Now that he thinks about it... how did he get into such an absurd situation?
X mercilessly slammed the door in the girl's face. It's not that he wants to be, unnecessarily, an asshole to the child. He smelled it from her. A reek of anxiety nearly as strong as the fear in her eyes. It caused him a headache.
After he made that poison dagger, he cut his wrist pouring blood into the custom dagger... knife... whatever the hell it is. He put it in the handle. Then, he made the void in his chest create a physical flower that grew onto his chest, which he chopped off, breaking a piece of himself for her. He sees the amount of memories and emotions she allowed and vice versa. He knows her pain and Isolation.
She just needs... a little push to bloom. To know her surrounding.
He left after she's out of sight. He did not need a sack when he had a storage ring to carry everything. He planned to explore the campus, so reaching class tomorrow will not be confusing.
"Still, it would have been better to be at the opening ceremony for the campus tour, but I guess you can't cry over spilled milk." He tried reassuring himself.
It didn't take long for the source of today's chaos to greet him.
"Hey!" Chirped a handsome passerby, who kind of looks Asian? "Here you go."
He throws X a bag with something clinking inside before skipping away cheerily. Unfortunately, whatever the guy was running away from came into the dorm like a wrecking ball, causing havoc wherever it went. At the time, X could not process the event that surrounded him.
"Lance!" The beast roared.
"Lance?" X repeated. Isn't that the Protagonist's best friend?
Lance, instinctively, dragged X by his collar before jumping out the highest floor window. If he is going down, he's not going down alone.
"Don't think because you have a meat-shield, you can runaway forever!" It growled at the man.
"..." This meat-shield is slightly offended.
He can forgive Lance for making him an accomplice in his crime. In retrospect, he did something very similar during that bull race one time. Of course— he does not like to talk about how he was banned from Spain... and yet that poor Spanish Princess. Back on topic, why did she call him a meat-shield! Even being called a rodent was cooler than meat-shield.
"Who's running Rin? No, this is a tactical retreat! And it's very manly." Lance grins back at the cloud of dust.
No, no it's not. And—
"Did you say Rin?" X asked while being waved through the air like a national flag. Isn't that the name of a harem member?
"Yeah, that's our school's one and only Rin. The lead disciplinary of the Academy and the bane of my existence."
Definitely a harem member from introduction alone. If he remembered correctly, Rin is a royal soldier, who was cultivated from an early age to be the protagonist's personal bodyguard. She grew to respect and love him from their years of built trust. In conclusion, they were going to die by plot armor or the heroin's halo.
They passed through an abandoned facility only to see the entire thing fall apart like building blocks from a tiny figure. Is she even human? At the sight of that moment, a bond for survival was made between the two men. X got back on his feet and ran for dear life. He definitely was not dying like that! Lance followed close behind, running faster than ever before.
"Is the she-devil close!" X screamed to his partner-in-crime as they ran across the campus in terror.
Lance looked behind in horror. "My God! She's getting closer!"
A moving cloud of dust hiding a tall, slender silhouette rushed forward.
"Shit! It's gaining speed!" Lance warned.
"Damn! What in Hell did you steal?" X complained.
"I'll tell you later!" Lance replied.
"What do we do now?" X asked. He has not tasted fear in a long time until today.
"Just go! She wants me! I'll be her distraction, so you escape. Someone needs to tell our story!" Lance gave him a not-so-convincing smile.
"Lance." X gave a manly salute before dashing away. "Don't you die on me!"
"No promises!" Lance saluted back before turning to the angry bull from behind. "Hey, you ogre your mom is a *****."
"Whhrraaa," The beast snarled a battle cry, running even faster.
"Shit! Shit! Shit!" X heard Lance regret messing with one of the protagonist's harem members.

X follows the gps on his watch, the bond of camaraderie dies in a blink, as he finally realizes that motherf***er set him up to die in the first place!
"Beep! Beep!" He made his destination. Why was Dahlia still at the female dorm? He thought using the tracer to track her down, he will be able to find the male dorm without using the idiot gps map. Did something happen?
He moves to the security panel and press the green button.
BEEEP. "How may I help you?" A cold voice speaks.
"I'm here for my daughter, Dahlia, she was supposed to leave here after delivery?"
"Please connect your watch to confirm." BEEEP "Yes, it seems like she is still in this building. For her safety, we will give you temporary access to the building. Please contact the authority if the situation gets out of hand."
The door open and X enters. The few females left in the hall watch X in awe. To them, he is exotic. They never seen Southerners' green hair with a human of brown skin. The Southerns were ghastly pale, living in swamp areas with little sun. They can tell from his skin color that he cannot be from the Mid-east or the South. The East and West are also people in there own world, so why would they come here? Where did he come from?
"Excuse me." X walks up to one of the onlookers.
"Ye-yes?" One of them (by force) steps up to talk.
"Can you tell me where the little girl, who delivered the milk today went? She is my family." He asks, unconcerned for their fidgety reaction.
"The last time I saw her, she left for the highest floor," answers one of the girls in the back.
"Thanks." Then, X left without giving the girls a chance to talk.
The girls squeal from behind. X didn't know this small interaction would lead him to have a fan club. Why is this novel world so damn weird?
Once X reach upstairs, he draws out his short sword from his storage. Dahlia was passed out on the floor, as three girls argue over her body. They stop when they begin to feel a strong gust of killing intent.
"You." He says, gaining their attention. "You have only a minute to explain yourself or die." He points at his pet's body in a semi-ball.
The girls try to explain but they all talk over each other and argue, until they start blaming each other.
"One minute is up." He dashes toward them, ready to kill. The girls shift into position and grab their weapons from their storage ring.
It wasn't him, who was going to die today. It was one of them.
