I woke up sometime in the late afternoon, sitting up groggy with a spitting headache as I groaned. My lower back also ached with a dull pain as I pulled the covers off my body only to shiver immediately.
I hid under the covers again, rubbing at my eyes to clear the sleep out of them before reattempting to get out of bed. I wrapped the sheets around my shoulders, scanning the room as my head took a few seconds to process where I was.
I climbed out of bed a second time, this time succeeding in touching the cold linoleum floor. However, upon standing, my hips instantly gave out as I collapsed face first onto the floor.
I groaned in pain, rubbing at my nose before I spot my phone buzzing beneath the bed from the reflection in the mirror. I turned around to try and reach it, wrapping myself in the sheets' embrace as I counted the distance of my phone from where I was.
