"That role... I'll take it." I blurted out, as I stared at my father who was seated across from me.
He froze for a moment, shifting his eyes from the food in his chopsticks before glancing at me. He lowers his hand, wiping his mouth with the napkin as he places his chopsticks and the napkin down like I had just ruined his meal.
"You've mentioned... you're hiring someone to take ___'s place in the company." I offered, ignoring his unimpressed expression.
"I have. But I would need someone with actual interest in work, who is capable of being driven and actually contributes to the company." he cleared his throat, lifting his glass of wine as I clenched my fists.
I mean— sure I haven't acted the best way... but I'm more than capable of replacing him. Just how high are your standards for that prick?!
