A loud bang resounded as the doors of the elevator was stopped with great force before shutting. My heart nearly leapt out of my chest as I brought my wary eyes up to meet the gaze of the person who stopped my great escape.
"Didn't you hear me? I asked you to hold the lift." Rayson said with a look that shook me down my core.
"Uh... I'm sorry... I didn't..." I replied as I moved to a corner of the elevator, sticking to the wall.
"Is that so?" Rayson asked as he shut the elevator door, trapping us both in the confined space.
I squeezed my eyes shut as I realised that I had entered the elevator absentmindedly just to avoid him and that I forgot how I didn't do so well in confined spaces.
My hands shook and my throat constricted. My heart rate increased as I tried my best to calm myself. I grasped the railings on the elevator as I tried to find some solace in them.
