The convenience store is a little bit far from the hospital that's why I gasped for breath when I finally arrived.
"Mom what happened? Why are you crying? Is daddy okay?" My brows furrowed.
I'm a little bit worried now.
"Chloe, your G-grandpa..."
"What is it mom? What happened? Just tell me what happened!" I yelled because I'm so nervous right now.
"H-he's gone Chloe." Mom cried so hard after saying that.
"No mom! That's not true! Please tell me your just joking right?!" I shook my head, "That's not true!" My tears started to fall down. I can't accept the fact that grandpa is already gone.
"He's dead Chloe, he had a heart attack earlier."
Mommy walk towards me to give me a hug but I push her away.
"No, no, no! Your just lying mom! I was with him a while ago. Mom please tell me it's just a joke!" I began to outburst my emotion.
"He's gone Chloe, I can't also believe that your grandpa is already gone." I can see the pain in her eyes.
"His not dead mom! Grandpa isn't dead!" I shook my head while I was crying.
"Come here Chloe." She calmly said while crying.
I didn't move.
"Where did Uncle take my grandpa?"
"At St. Lukes Hospital."
"Can I borrow your Car keys? I badly want to see him." I sobbed uncontrollably.
I checked my dad before I went away, he's okay now but his still asleep.
Mom gave me the keys, then after that I went to the parking lot. I opened the driver's seat and started the engine. I can't drive so fast because I'm crying so hard right now I can't clearly see the road.
After an hour I already arrived at St. Lukes Hospital.
I run towards the front desk.
"Can you tell me the room number of Gregory Garcia?"
"Yes maam, just wait a minute."
"Gregory Garcia his currently at room 308." the nurse calmly said.
"Okay thank you."
I take up the stairs and run so fast, I was in a hurry and taking elevator will just give me hassle.
I'm finally reached the third floor.
"306,307,308! Gotcha!"
I knocked before I opened the door but uncle Zach is not here anymore.
I saw my Grandpa laying at the hospital bed, he was covered with a white blanket. My eyes started to filled with salty water.
I can't even take one step, I'm so scared. I hope this is just one of my nightmares.
I mustered up the courage to walk towards my Grandpa. I removed the white blanket to see his face. I hope he was just sleeping but he's not.
"Grandpa, please wake up! Don't leave me please. I need you right now." I held his face and I slightly tapped him, "Wake up, wake up, please comeback!" My tears are continuously falling.
I stand up to call a doctor or nurse. Good thing I saw a doctor outside. I run to chased him.
I called him but I think he didn't hear me.
When I was finally close to him I hold his hand, "Doc please help my Grandpa, please save him." My tears started to fall down again.
"Where is he? What happened?"
"Room 308." I answered so fast.
We run towards grandpa's room.
When we arrived at room 308 the Doctor was just standing at the door.
"How long are you going to stand there looking dumb? Do something! Save my grandpa! Your a doctor right? You can save him!" I was crying so hard.
"I'm sorry but his dead." The doctor casually said.
"That's not true! His not dead please help him, please save him." I kneel down to begged him.
"I can't do anything if the patient is already dead. I'm not God."
"Get out, You're fucking useless!"
Uncle showed up.
"Chloe why are you here?" Uncle asked.
"I'm the one should be asking you that. What are you doing here? This is all your fault and you have the guts to stay here? Are you happy now? Grandpa is gone. His already gone because of you!" I pointed him.
"It's not my fault Chloe! It's your father's fault!"
"Don't blame my dad he didn't do anything. Get out of my sight!"
"Why would I? That's my dad."
"I said get out!" I yelled.
"I don't want to leave, I want to stay here with my daddy." Uncle started to cry too.
"You don't deserve to be here! I will call the guards if you're not going to leave." I wiped my tears away before going out.
When we finally returned, Uncle is not here anymore.
"I'm sorry for the inconvenience, thank you for your help." I told the guards.
I entered the room because I want to be alone right now. I want to be with him.
"Why did you leave us so soon? Your so unfair!" My tears started streaming down my face, "Grandpa please comeback you said you'll be there when I get my diploma why you're just laying there?"
I cried a lot and I didn't realize that I dozed off to sleep while I was crying.
"Maam." The nurse slightly tapped my shoulders, "maam we need to take his body at the morgue."
"Can he stay for a minute?" I asked with a hopeful voice.
"I'm sorry maam, we really need to take him right now."
I can't do anything. That's why I hugged him so tight.
"Bye grandpa see you soon, I love you so much."
After I bid goodbye to grandpa, I went to the parking lot. I want to drink and get wasted tonight.
I want to forget all my problems. I called out my friends to invite them, I just want to be with them right now. I want to be happy just for a while that's why I went to Retro bar, this is our favorite spot.
I sitted on the counter first to order some liquor.
"5 bottles of Jack Daniels please." Just bring it to table number 8, thank you."
I waited for my friends at our usual table. After an hour they're finally here.
"Why do want to drink Chloe Eleanor all of a sudden?" Kiara asked.
"Are you okay? " Brie worriedly asked.
"I'm kinda sad right now." I answered.
"Why? What happened?" Kiara's brows furrowed.
"Let just talk that some other time, I just want to forget my problems for a while. Btw where are the others?" I poured the liqour into the shot glass and drink the first shot.
"They're on their way here." Brie answered.
We started drinking while waiting for the others.
My alchol tolerance is not that high that's why I easily get drunk.
"Let's go at the dance floor I want to dance, come on Chloe!" Tiara invited us.
"I'm a little bit dizzy, I'll just stay here."
"You sure?" Tiara asked.
"Yeah, just go on." I massage my head.
Tiara and Brie already went to the dance floor and I was here alone at our table.
"Chloe!" Jack hugged me.
"Oh hi! Where are the others?"
"They're still at the parking lot."
My phone rings all of a sudden.
"Wait I'll just go outside to answer this."
"Sure." Jax nodded.
I answer the call when I'm finally outside.
"Hello Mom?"
"Chloe where are you? Your dad is already awake."
"Good to know. Is he okay? Btw I'm with my friends Mom I'll go there later."
"Hey Chloe! What are you doing here? Let's go inside." One of my friend said.
"Bye Mom, I'll hang up now. See you later."
