The 4 of them started heading towards the area that John had found again, with the girls in the middle and the boys on the outside. They talked about random things, like who their favorite teacher was, what their favorite food was, and many questions like that. By the time they had reached their, an atmosphere of friendship had accompanied the group.
As they were about to walk into the opening of the cave, Rex looked at how bland the entrance to the cave looked and got an idea.
"Hey, what if for the rest of the year we start decorating the cave? Wouldn't that be super fun?"
The 3 others thought of the idea, imagining how nice the cave would look with decorations. However, Lacey had a few questions.
"How would we decorate it? It's not like we know how to build anything, so what could we even do?"
"My dad owns a store that sells tools to draw with, I can ask him for some supplies to decorate the walls of the cave!" Avery told them.
The 4 became excited, and thinking of how the inside of the cave walls along with the body of water and the nature, it would look amazing!
They walked into the cave, and sat in the same area as last time. John brought out notebooks, and they started sketching plans. They decided made each person would have a part of the clearing where they could draw something.
For the rest of the time, the 4 barely talked and worked on sketching what they would want to paint on the walls of the cave. After a few hours, they all showed each other their sketches, however when seeing Johns they were shocked. John had drawn a picture of himself and Avery on the edge of a cliff. The sun was rising, shining bright light onto the two of them, and the nature that was around them formed a spectacular picture.
"Damn, you can flirt even when drawing pictures! I will call you daddy if you can teach me how to draw like that!" Rex laughed. Lacey glared at Rex, while Avery blushed at the drawing with sparkling eyes.
Rex showed his picture, which was a picture of himself and Lacey having a picnic on top of a cloud with a heart around them and swans flying. The picture was also spectacular, causing even Lacey to smile at the picture.
Avery showed her picture, which was a picture of them all drawing their sketches along with the background of the cave.
"That's really good! I didn't know you were such a good artist Avery!" John complimented Avery, causing her to smile.
Lastly, Lacey showed her own drawing. It was the picture of herself looking at the moon, as it shined on her. It gave her a radiant glow, and Rex seemed as if he was put into a state of daze by the picture.
"So pretty..." Rex blurted out.
"Huh? What did you say?" Lacey blushed.
"It's getting late, we should get going." Avery told them. They all agreed, and the 4 started heading back while thinking of the future.
