Chapter 11 - Loved, Love.

Author's point of view:

Minjun let himself be dragged to the river by the beauty, their fingers interlaced, Jirae leading the way as Minjun just watched in awe, the sky fascinating him as it had a pretty baby blue to it, turning darker.

The river wasn't far from Jirae's home, the beauty unsure of addressing it as home, it was just a house. The couple went through one of the shorter lanes, hoping to go unnoticed by the guards who's eyes showed nothing, but coldness.

By the time they reached the river, Minjun's hands were clammy, sweaty, nervousness visible as they sat down, the green grass tickling softly as the water glowed, so beautiful, Minjun thought, the nature is so beautiful, just like Jirae.

"The nature's so beautiful, isn't it, Jun?" Jirae questioned, in awe as the sight in front of him was so calming, beautiful, like a portrait, moving portrait. "Yes, it really is beautiful, Rae," Minjun answered, softly smiling at Jirae, taking the beauty's hands in his, "Just like you are."

Jirae blushed, grinning at Minjun, the soft pink hue on his cheeks fascinating the other, making him fall deeper, farther, into the pit called love and Minjun swears, he swears, it was wonderful, beautiful, it made his heart race, his eyes oozing love as he moved closer, placing a soft kiss on Jirae's lips.

Jirae kissed back, his eyes fluttering shut, his eyelashes tickling Minjun's already closed eyelids as the closed shut, trying to memorize the feeling. It was soft, smoothness evident, resistance invisible, investment blooming, it was ecstasy, it was ethereal, the way their lips moved against each other, a promise of love, happiness, peace.

Minjun broke the kiss, "Darling, tell me what you have to. I won't run away, I promise." Just a whisper, murmured against Jirae's lips, but a promise, a promise made with nature watching, it was a promise out of honesty, love.

Jirae took in a deep breath, sighing, looking up at Minjun, eyes soft, glossy, hopeful in a way, lips parted as he started, "I lied to you, Minjun." He looked into Minjun's eyes, searching anger or betrayal in them, only finding softness and the undying smile on his lips, Jirae continued,

"We don't trade with Korea, Jun." He chuckled, going on, "Well, we used to but, that's not how I learnt Korean." He smiled adoringly, looking into Minjun's eyes, tears collected on the corner of his eyes glistening, pearly, blinking them out, sliding down his golden skin,

"When I was younger, my father trained me to be one of the best businessman in the country," Those times were still as colorful in Jirae's mind, "I took care of the trade and economy of some parts of Rome, especially the ones that lay near the border."

"This one day, I was on my horse, checking the imports and exports," His slender fingers played with the green grass, the coolness wetting Jirae's hand a little, small water droplets splashed from the river present a little,

"That's when I met him." He smiled again, wider, eyes softer, more tear drops dropping down, wetting Minjun's hands that cupped his cheeks ever so softly, lovingly, wiping those diamond droplets that fell freely, falling onto the ground. Even mother earth wanted to feel Jirae.

"I loved him, Minjun, I loved him. I loved him so much, I would die for him without a second thought." Soft cries, loud sobs, dry lips, wet eyes, "He— he was my everything. He held me like I was his everything. He cherished me, my body, my soul, everything that I had."

Minjun's hands secured around his waist, gripping tightly lifting Jirae off the ground, placing him on his lap, holding him close, closer, the sense of security evident in Jirae's eyes as he wrapped his hands around his lover's torso, cuddling closer, burying his face into the crook of Minjun's soft neck, leaning up lightly, pressing a soft, lingering kiss on the underside of his lover's perfectly sculpted jaw.

"When I first saw him, he was actually fighting with some employees." Jirae chuckled, voice muffled, hiding himself into Minjun's body. He wishes that he could hide into jeongguk forever, into the comfortable warmth, calming, loving, just— just wonderful, it made Jirae's heart soar.

"He was the one in charge of the imports from Korea. He was from Korea, he had traveled for seven days to reach Rome and he was tired, obviously. The guards, they refused to let him stay for a couple days since, he didn't have my  permission, but he was so tired, he couldn't return back to Korea without enough rest.

I reached there as soon as I heard that there was a small fight. I gave him a place to stay and made sure that everything was perfect. Trade with Korea was important to us, they supplied us many things. Including war materials that are much needed here.

We met a few times, me visiting his house to make sure that he was satisfied with the arrangements I made. He was attractive, he brought girls every night he stayed here. We slowly became friends, laughing and joking together for the couple of days he stayed here as rest.

This one day— this one day changed my life altogether, Jun. I went to the house he stayed at, late at night, the sun had set. We were just talking to each other, the topic ranging from monarchy to trade to women. It felt normal, like the usual hangouts,

But the air, the air was filled with tension. It was like I couldn't breathe, so thick." Jirae sighed, fumbling with his fingers, cuddling closer, keeping their body warmth alive, the need to hold each other close increasing as cold winds pass by.

"He pulled me into a kiss. I responded because, I too wanted that, badly. I couldn't deny it, at all. He showed me love and care, something people here failed to show me. We kissed and made love all night, under the moonlight.

We refused to talk about the night, but neither him nor I could deny the fact that we were falling in love. Falling in love together, Minjun, together. I loved him so much, he did too.

He stopped sleeping with women, loved me like I was the last thing he'll ever love, showered me with care, brought me everything I wanted. He was such a sweetheart, how couldn't I be in love with him?"

"Do you," Minjun started, a sigh slipping past his lips, insecurity seeping through his veins, heartbeat raising. Jirae could feel it, so clearly, the nervousness scared him a little, softly questioning, "Yes?"

"Do you still love him, Rae?" Minjun asked the question he was dying to ask, scared of a positive answer that could possibly turn his life negative, looking down at Jirae, meeting his red rimmed eyes, the beauty just chuckling fondly, softly, running his fingers through his lover's black hair lovingly.

"I loved him, I love you." Is all the beauty said, moulding their lips into one.
