I sat at the edge of Redwood park. It seemed nice, the silence, the peaceful atmosphere, everything about it seemed calming. But I knew it wouldn't last. Yuuto was asking for a report on the mission. I turned to find Yuuto standing in front of me, his face grim. "Well? Have you found him or not?" He asked me.
I nodded."He goes to the same school I'm attending. It seems he was trying to escape."I told him. "Do you wish to have him eliminated?" I asked, looking away and staring at the waves.
"Depends on where you want to kill him. In front of the school, or in front of the new fighters." He walked away, leaving me alone again. A few minutes later, Grai popped out of the bushes.
He sat beside me and told me flatly. "Your dad said it might take him some time, but he'll be able to get here in a couple of weeks." I looked at him.
"What do we do then?" I asked him. He shrugged.
"I don't know." He stared at the sky. "In a few days you'll be leaving, right? So I might just follow you."
"They'll know you're missing."
He looked at me, a sly smile slowly appearing on his face. "Who would look for a dead person?"
I looked at him with shock plastered on my face, realizing what he was planning. "No. Grai, you and I both know what will happen if we do that."
"What's wrong with that? I know the ingredients needed. All it would need is a little time and then-"
I interrupted him. "NO. You'll stay here and wait for my father to come. When he does, contact me. I'll come."
"You'll either die halfway trying to get here or we get caught."
"So what? You are to be the future leader of Drakon, not me. It wouldn't matter if I live or not."
"But-"
"NO. That's final." He frowned, and stared at the water, pretending I didn't exist. I frowned. "Oh, come on, Grai. Quit acting like a baby." He ignored me, and continued to pout as the waves crashed against the shore below. I sighed, and got up. "Okay, fine. You can come. But if you truly die in the process, don't say I didn't warn you."
He smiled, and got up. "Oh, by the way, do you happen to have the ingredients?" He asked.
I looked at him suspiciously. "Why?"
"I ran out of them." He said, laughing uneasily.
"Yeah, I have some." I told him, making a plan to kill him properly another time.
"Great. Now, I'm hungry. What do you wanna get?"

I looked through the cupboards, looking for where I kept the ingredients. Grai sat on the dining chair, waiting patiently. I was taking out the last box of spices when I noticed the Zimon, Hecton berries, and Stardust in the far corner. I took them out and placed them in front of Grai along with other materials to begin the mixture.
As I placed the boxes back, I asked him, "Last chance. Are you sure you want to do this? Remember, you can still turn back now." But it seemed that option was gone, because he already poured the Zimon and Stardust and was now mashing the Hecton berries.
I sighed, and continued to place the boxes away. I joined him after placing them away. After mixing the mashed berries with the Zimon and the Stardust, we placed the mixtures in a few spare bottles I had.
Grai took one of the bottles and started to leave. I reminded him again. "You obviously know what to do. You drink the potion and wait for a few hours before you-"
"I've done this before multiple times already." He interrupted me. He placed his hand on my shoulder. "It'll be alright. As long as you do your part, I'll be fine."
With that, he left me alone, leaving me with the plan we made earlier.
