Chapter 21 - Time to Put the Uniform on

The school year was in its beginning and more than anything else now Sarah had to make sure to get as close as possible to Zack, who had become her main task just a week ago.

The morning of the first day of her new student life was rather calm and uneventful, maybe part of the reason was the fact that her father was out of the mansion third day in a roll. He had his tasks even though they were no longer related to the official mafia organization and in this family, duty came first.

Sarah woke up and stretched her arms. She still couldn't get used to not waking up in her own apartment in the outskirts of the city. Right now her rather shabby place seemed way more pleasing than this big cold "castle" in the middle of nowhere. She missed the smell of moist in the halls and the gray streets, the quite old furniture and the constant problems with electricity, because of which she had to make her own network system which had never denounced her.

Now she was in a huge building, one third of which was entirely hers. There was no reek of mold and despite the candle chandeliers in the corridors, the rest of the house was newly furnished. The coordinates of the mansion were such that a few networking systems were crossing in that area, creating one of the most powerful engines.

Everything was perfect, yet extrinsic.

She sat on the edge of the bed and sloped her feet to the floor. The cold wood made her wake herself and she quickly put her slippers on.

Still in her pajamas, Sarah walked down stairs to the kitchen and made herself a cup of coffee.

Taking it back to her room, her eyes were fixed on the black liquid in the cup. How interesting it seemed. So dark, but at the same time, when the lights of the sun reach to it, its color becomes different – lighter.

Why such insignificant thing crossed her mind, she didn't know, but once she was in her room any trade of it disappeared.

Her whole intention was now fixed on creating a plan to follow.

She put her new uniform on and looked in the mirror. Those weren't just any school clothes, neither were they those of the most prestigious high school in the country, even though National Academy Preotkrivane was exactly that. She was wearing the shirt and the skirt of a murderer. The bright red tie seemed more like the stain of blood that was going to spread onto the white shirt of Zack Dobro and the stains of bloody drops that were going to remain forever on hers once she completes her mission. But it wasn't only one person's sign of death, but everybody's, who dared get in her way. This uniform was more like the mantle of the grim reaper than the clothes of Lao Tzu.

She carefully combed her long dark blond hair and changed her fluffy slippers with white sneakers. The same sneakers that one day were going to be in blood stains.

In her bag she only put a pen and a notebook.

Now she was ready.

The steps to the top seemed endless, but eventually an end was reached and Sarah was now getting inside the helicopter which wasn't going to let her in school, but to the place where she becomes a grim reaper undercover.
