It's been a couple of days since Hiroki left. As I am leaving the hospital, I get a call from Kiyoharu. The second I answer the phone, he is already talking.
Kiyoharu: Chihaya, Hiroki is back; when can you come over to Mirai's.
Chihaya: I just left the hospital. I will be there as fast as I can.
I don't wait for Kiyoharu's answer as I hang up the phone. I rush to my car and go straight to Mirai's house. Once I get there, they are all sitting at the table. I go and sit next to Mirai and Look towards Hiroki.
Chihaya: What did you find out?
Hiroki: They are keeping Yuki on the top floor, but the only way in is through a door that's connected to the floor. We would need to climb up to the room.
Mirai: Is there a way to get to the room without being seen?
Hiroki: No, but we may have a chance to get Yuki out of there without needing to brack in.
Kiyoharu: How? Mr.Hokinoue's mansion is like a fortress. Not even the secretary system can be hacked.
Hiroki: Mr.hokinoue has already sold Yuki at an auction. Are opening to get her would be when she is get picked up after the contract is over.
Chihaya: She has already been sold at an auction? We can't just let her stay with whoever bought her. She could be in danger right now!
Mirai: But it makes sense. If we move now when she is with someone that can easily tell her father what happened would only mean that we could be putting her in more danger.
Kiyoharu: Do you know how long the contract is for the auction Yuki was sold at?
Hiroki: No, But I do know where she is at. If we keep an eye out for when they go and pick her up, That will give us the chance to get her.
Chihaya: So what's the plan?
Mirai: I think I should camp out at the house to keep updates on what's happening.
Kiyoharu: I can get a route ready for when we go and get her. We don't want to be too close to the house, but not far enough that she ends up back with her father.
Hiroki: We will need to be careful. I check in with the police station, and this time, they have evidence to arrest Mr.Horkinoue.
Mirai: What? After all these years, they finally got enough to arrest him?
Chihaya: How did they do it?
Hiroki: They put a man on the inside, and they have been slowly getting all the evidence they need to take down Mr.Horkinoue and all of the people how have participated in the auction. Now they can't get everyone, but they have all the people who want to hurt Yuki.
Kiyoharu: So if we can get Yuki out before the cops come in, we can protect her until they have everyone in jail.
Hiroki: Yes, that's why we have to be careful when getting Yuki out of there. I don't want her to go through talking to the police and having to tell her story. That would just put her through more trauma.
Chihaya: I agree with Hiroki. We need to be able to get Yuki out of there before the cops get there.
Hiroki: I will help Kiyoharu with the route. Chihaya, because everyone in your family knows your face, I think you should get the safe house ready.
Chihaya: I understand. Just make sure nothing goes wrong.
We all leave after that; I go and look for a new safe house for Yuki. As I walk back to my car, I spot a man across the street just staring at me. I can only assume that they were sent to keep an eye on me. I move across the street to the man.
Chihaya: Who are you, and what do you want?
Man: I was told to give you this. There is something more going on behind the scenes.
The man leaves after he hands me the envelope. I try to think about what he means by opening the envelope. I look inside and find a letter with a picture attached to it. The picture is of Yuki, me, and Katsuo. Katsuo was Yuki's brother before he died six years ago. In the picture, Katsue holds Yuki in his arms, and I have my arm around his schedule. I remember that day like it was my own birthday. It was taken a few days after Yuki was born. I look at the letter that is attached to the picture.
~letter~
Dear Chihaya
I know I am the last person you want to talk to right now. You have to understand that I didn't want Hiroki to suffer because of my father. We had a plan to get Yuki out of this house, and I ruined that by getting Hiroki somewhere safe. Now that I am not allowed to enter the mansion, I don't know what to do. My father will be looking for me from now on until he finds me. I want you to keep trying to protect Yuki, even if I am no longer there. Your the only person left in the family that wants to save her. I will try to get this letter to you as soon as I can, but until then, I can only hope that you won't stop trying to help Yuki. I wish you the best of luck.
~End of letter~
Once I finish reading the letter, I can tell it was written by Katsue a couple of days before his death. I turn the letter over, and I find something unusual, the back of the letter doesn't look the same as the front. The front looks like it time has gotten to it, but the back looks like it's a fresh new sheet of paper. I look back at the envelope and see that it has a date of delivery on it, the date is from two days ago. Why would a letter from six years ago have a date from two days ago? I think back on what that man said, I start to get the feeling that someone waited for this moment to help Yuki.
