Chapter 21 - Chapter Twenty-One

I leave the room and go to the elevator that brought me down here. I hope whatever is waiting for me up there will not stop me. I get to the lobby and look around to make sure I can get out of the hotel without any trouble. Once I see the coast is clear, I leave the hotel. I get to the boardwalk that is a few blocks away from the hotel before someone calls out to me.

Hitori: So you manage to hide from me for years only to get caught right in the open.

I know that voice so well that I don't even have to turn around to know who it is.

Yuki: Hi dad, I didn't think you would find me so fast.

Hitori: Well, when your most valuable product runs away, you tend to find them at all costs.

Yuki: The last time I checked, selling people is illegal.

Hitori: Well, so is a black market auction that your new boyfriend has.

Yuki: What do you want?

Hitori: I want you, you have made me more money than anything else I have sold.

Yuki: And what if I say no.

Hitori: Then I can have another talk with Eisuke.

Yuki: What do you mean "another" talk?

Hitori: I had a talk with him, and we agreed that I would pay the money he brought you for, and in exchange, I could have you back. I was just on my way to get you from the basement when I say you leave the hotel.

Yuki: Eisuke would have never agreed to that.

Hitori: I have the contract right here. If you don't believe me, you can just read them.

Yuki: Your lying, You could have facked those documents.

Hitori: You where always a smart kid, but this time you should listen.

I look at my father as he hands me the documents. I take a look at the papers, and sure enough, this was the contact I had to sign the night Eisuke and his friends bought me. At the bottom of the form is Eisuke's signature. Next to that is a note that reads, " I Eisuke Ichinomiya cancel this contract on the terms that Hitori Hokinoue now has ownership of auction number twenty-nine."

Yuki: This isn't true. You had to have done something, but I know that what's on here is not true.

Hitori: Your right, I did do something. I told him that if you were not given back to me then I would expose his black market. You really didn't think he would care more about you then his dark secret.

Yuki: So you threatened him.

Hitori: Yes and now it's your turn. If you don't come with me I will make sure that Eisuke Ichinomiya is erased from this planet. I will make sure that every day you're not with me his life is a living hell, and you've seen what I can do. Do you really want that for him, to live a life that's just like yours?

I look at my father in shock. I wanted to leave so I would cause this kind of trouble for Eisuke, but now that's what I am doing by not going with my father. He could expose the black market and have Eisuke go to jail. I can't have that happen to him, I can't be the reason Eisuke's life is ruined.

Yuki: Fine, I will go with you but I have a favor to ask. If you do this favor I promise that I won't run away again and will listen to everything you say.

Hitori: Now that would be a big help to know that you won't run away again, but how do I know if you will stand by that statement?

Yuki: Because I am a smart kid, and I know you want to do whatever it takes to keep me from running away.

Hitori: Fine, what is this favor?

Yuki: You leave Eisuke and all his friends alone, as well as all my friends. You can't hurt them in any way or try to keep in eye on them.

Hitori: Ok then, we have a deal. Now let's go, I am tired of being out here.

My father turns around and walks to a car that has been waiting for us. As I follow behind him I pull out my phone and shut it off. I don't want Chihaya or the others to try and find me. I know all they have been doing is protecting me, but now it's my turn to protect them. It's only been a month since I meet everyone at the hotel, but they shouldn't get involved with this. I don't now how Mamoru found out about me or why Eisuke started acting strangely before I went to the basement, but the only thing I can do for them now is going with my father.
