Chapter 150 - Payment

Oh Sungjin who was looking at his phone for some beautiful girls was surprised to receive a call from the person he never had contacted after that day.

"Why is she calling?" He wondered and ignored the call. He couldn't do anything other than ignoring her call.

When the call didn't come again, he took a deep breath of relief and continued searching profiles of beautiful girls. Well, he had to get married some time or the other and he was searching for some good woman who would be a good match for him.

When it was time for him to leave, he took his car keys and got out of his nightclub.

"Long time, Sungjin Oppa!"

Oh Sungin quivered when he heard a voice he used to be very familiar with.

He gulped and turned around with a frozen look on his face.

"Wh... what brings you here, Yeon Ah?" He asked trying to force out a smile on his face.

Yeon Ah knew that Sungjin wasn't going to pick her call. In fact, it was waste of time to speak with him through the phone. Thus, she hurriedly came to his night club.

Despite of it being five years, Yeon Ah had kept a look on all of her university classmates or friends... She wasn't stalking but she just wanted to know how everyone was doing. And in this list, Oh Sungjin and Park Ji Sang were also included.

"You look handsome, Sungjin Oppa!" She said with a shy look on her face.

"You also look beautiful, Yeon Ah!" It might look like he was just repeating what she was saying but Sungjin was saying this all from his heart. Standing in front of him in a blue buttoned top and jeans, Yeon Ah looked beautiful and pretty just like how she did in those days.

"What brings you here, Yeon Ah?"

Soon, Yeon Ah narrated her story and was glad that she had a person like Sungjin in her friends list because as soon as she said that she was in need of money, Sungjin transferred money to her without any haste; including some extra money which was counted as her expense for eating and stuff.

After reaching the hospital, Yeon Ah checked the amount in her phone and was surprised that she was able to arrange such a huge amount in a very short span of time.

"Thank you to everyone who helped me. Thank you to all!" She joined her hands and prayed for them and exited the cab when the cab reached the hospital.

She quickly hugged her mother and told the doctor to start with the operation.

When the small light above the room's name turned green, both Yeon Ah and her mother took a deep breath and waited for the doctor to walk out.

Yeon Ah asked the doctor with a heavy beating heart and a smile came over her lips when the doctor said that the surgery was successful. All they had to do was wait for three hours for the patient to wake up.

Yeon Ah felt like this was the best day ever. Her Dad was now alright and her mother was also fine.

However, one thing troubled her... and that thing was Ji Sang...

After last night, she didn't see him again nor she received any messages from him.

"How mean... You can't even ask me how things are and you want me to be your girlfriend? My ass!!!" She grunted and sat on the chair.

"Ahhh!!! It is nice." She rested her head on the chair and closed her eyes.

Now all that what was left for her was to return all the money which she took from others and she pushed herself off the chair. She looked at her father through the transparent window of the room and said "Get well soon, Dad!"

Oh Sungjin was having a drink in his office room when he heard a knock.

"Come in!" He ordered and took another sip from his wine glass.

As he saw his assistant entering inside with Yeon Ah behind him, he stood up from his chair and asked "Yeon Ah? Are you alright? How is your Dad? Do you need more money?"

After tallying how much money she would get from her two part-time jobs, she decided to work another job. Since, her work was always getting over before or on ten, she had some time to work at a nightclub.

And she didn't know any other nightclub other than Sungjin which would provide her some safe job.

So, she came here asking for his help.

"Yes, my Dad is alright, all thanks to you, Sungjin Oppa."

"Then, shouldn't you be with him?"

Hearing Sungjin's question, Yeon Ah thought about the reaction her father will have when he was to see her after he wakes up. So, another reason for Yeon Ah to not stay by her father's side was that she didn't wanted to worsen his condition or stress him out more...

So, she was just willing to see her father from afar.

Of course, she also told her mother to not say about who did the payment because she knew that her Dad was never going to accept any help from her.

After that incident, her life had changed so much that she had to think a lot about visiting or meeting her parents. And since she couldn't, she just decided to live alone, working hard and earning something.

So, thinking about all that, Yeon Ah lowered her head and answered in a low voice "I should... but before that, I need to return all the money which I borrowed..."

Sungjin made an 'o' face and quickly walked to his desk. He took out a check book from inside his desk and said "Tell me the amount. I will hand it over to you."

"No! No! No! I didn't come for that, Sungjin Oppa." Realizing the conversation was taking a different turn, Yeon Ah quickly declined and said "I just want to work over here."

"Over here?" Sungjin asked being surprised.
