It's been a week since my encounter with Damian and things, I guess I'll just say they're not okay. Lola has been freaking out all day about what to wear and what to say and make sure she doesn't make a fool out of herself when she meets Storm at the game tonight.
Since Temi isn't around, I have to pick out her clothes and I'm seriously stressed. Thinking of what screams casual, in my opinion, is sweats and a baggy shirt, to hide my fats though.
But Lola is skinny, like a goddess and if I pick that out, June would definitely disown me as her sister. It's true, she can do it.
So instead, I'm Facetiming Macy on what to pick out for the game tonight. Macy, has the same fashion sense as me, but I guess she's better since she could actually come up with white skinny jeans and Storm's jersey with a jacket that says 'bleh!' at the back.
Smart, real smart.
The outfit is really cute but still, Lola is a nervous mess.
"Look at me." I say when Chase parks outside the stadium. She lets out a shaky breath and turns to me. I place my hands on her shoulder and shake her lightly.
"He's your boyfriend!"
"Was actually." She mutters, looking down.
"Whatever, it's not the end of the world you know, it's going to be fine." I say and she looks at me.
"But what if he doesn't want me again, I mean nobody wants me so I wouldn't be surprised if he-"
And smack!
Her mouth hangs open and she stares at me with wide eyes. Yes, I just slapped her, but that was because she was freaking out over nothing. And I'm not so good with people rambling because of how they aren't enough or something, it's frustrating.
"You good now?" I ask and she nods, her face a little red. We start towards the stadium and I blow out a breath.
Let's get this show done!
°>°>°>°>
So Storm's team won, and he's getting interviewed and I'm trying to do damage control here. Lola is freaking out. That's just to say the least.
"What if he doesn't recognize me again? What if he doesn't want me? What if he's already dating someone else and she's here?" She panics, breathing fast. I roll my eyes and shove her shoulder.
"Stand up, go to him and talk, probably kiss him, whatever, he loves you, always have, always will! Now go, before I attack you with my mad ninja skills." I growl and her eyes widen, standing up abruptly.
I watch as she crosses onto the court, the coach yelling at her as she rushes to him. He still has his back to her, unknown to him that she is rushing to get to him.
I watch in anticipation, clutching my hands to my chest as she taps his shoulder.
He turns around, his brows furrowed on confusion, I stand up, my mouth hung open as I take in a sharp breath. His eyes widen as they focus on Lola, his jaw slack. He blinks in shock as she waves and mutters something to him.
I think he snapped out of it as he grabs her by her waist, staring into her eyes before leaning in and smashing his lips against hers.
"Yes! YES! YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES!" I scream at the top of my voice and run down, hitting people out of the way. I jump onto the court and run up to them, jumping up and down while clapping my hands.
She pulls away and he rests his forehead against hers, smiling like a fool. I clear my throat and his eyes leave her, focusing on me. He rolls his eyes, letting out a laugh and holding her waist while he side hugs me.
"Told ya she could do it." I hear a voice say and turn around to see Temi and May striding towards us. I gasp, glaring at May, maybe she's not as innocent as I thought.
"You!" Lola gasps and launches for Temi buy Storm holds her back by her waist, rolling his eyes and laughing.
"I just tested to see if she could actually get over her fears, which she did." Temi says and pats Lola's head softly. Lola glares at her, shaking her hand off.
"Which she did? I had to go damage control like ten times and smack her face! Do you know how stressful that is?" I whisper yell, my left eye twitching. She laughs nervously and backs off.
"Hey man, we gotta go." I hear one of the players say to Storm and he nods, doing a bro handshake with him as the rest of them scream at the top of their voice, exiting the court. I look around and see that most of the people have already left the stadium, I look back at Lola who is smiling like how she used to before.
Smile.
"Okay babe, I'll see you tonight at your place?" Storm asks, looking at Lola. She smiles and reaches to kiss him.
"I love you, but gross." Temi says and I laugh. Lola pulls away and turns to Temi, "Ojor kan ma kpai e." She says and Temi laughs histerically, clutching her stomach.
"You can't do it even if you tried." She says, wiping a tear away.
Nobody knows what they are talking about, so don't bother asking me.
Storm presses a kiss to her temple before leaving, grabbing a bottle of water as he goes. Lola walks up to me, wrapping her arms around me.
"No, no, no, you have sweet all over you." I cry and May giggles, her lips spreading. Lola pulls away from me and starts walking away.
"What? No sorry? Not even a thank you?" I ask as I start following her out of the stadium. The rest laugh behind me, jogging up to meet us.
Ugh, I feel like boy sweat.
Although I probably wouldn't mind if it's from Austin...

So, I'm back home and I'm staring at the mess Chase made in my room. I'd kill him but I'm too nice, or. just chop off his hands.
How did he even get the room so messed? If there was a fan, I'm sure that some of my clothes would be on it. So mature.
I sigh and walk out of the room, tying my hair behind me. I puff my cheeks, walking to the living room where Temi and May were playing chess.
No wonder the house is so quiet. Chase is in the kitchen, sitting on one of the stools by the kitchen island and I stomp over to him.
"Chase?" I growl and he slowly turns around, his face neutral. I hate his resting cat face!
"What happened to my room?" I growl and step forward.
"Mini hurricane, I barely survived." He says in a very serious tone, you'd never believe he was lying.
"Oh, well come help me clean up." I say and he rolls his eyes, standing up and licking his teeth. When we reach the room, I see my phone screen lit and I walk over to it, checking whatever it is.
Austin: Hey, um, are you free tonight? My sister is here and she really wants to meet you.
A smile forms on my face and I quickly text him back, grabbing my jacket.
"Hey, where are you going?" Chase asks and I turn to him.
"Um, my friend had a um... a moment and I'm going to help her, to overcome it, yes." I say and rush out of the room, tripping down the stairs.
Thinks he can fool me! Well ha! Everyone knows that you can't have a mini hurricane, it's a mini storm!
"Hey, where are you going?" May asks and I stop abruptly, turning to look at both of them. I blink at them, opening my mouth like a fish and spacing out, staring into nothing.
Ratatouille. Ratatouille. Ratatouille. Ratatouille. Ratatouille. Ratatouille.
I want to eat a ratatouille.
Oh, I'd kill for rice and beans right now.
Does Austin like ratatouille's? What about rice and beans? What about bread? Oh bread! The way it crackles under my ears, the way my jaw rolls as-
"Hello, Ap?" Temi asks, snapping her fingers in front of my face. I blink and smile at them.
"What? You'd like some bread?" I ask and they look at me weirdly. May backs away slowly, looking down at the board.
Hmm, weird.
"No, I don't want your stupid imaginary bread! Where are you going? It's past one o'clock." Temi says and I raise my brows. Wow, I'm supposed to be asleep. I think just thinking about it makes me sleepy.
But no! I shall not fall asleep! I promised Austin that I'd be there and I will!
"Um, to a friend's place, he- I mean she has uh had a uh, moment! So I'm helping her- what did I tell Chase again- yeah! He-"
"Cut the crap! Where are you going?" Temi asks, taking every step closer to me with each word. It's creepy as hell.
"Austin's place, his sister is at his place right now and he really wants me to meet her." I sigh in defeat and Temi shakes her head in disappointment, clicking her tongue.
"I am disappointed in you, what have you turned into? Lying to me? In front of your sister? For shame!" She says and I lower my head.
"I'm sorry mother." I cry and she looks away dramatically.
"Go, get out of my sight!" I grin and run out the door, phew, Temi acting angry mother is terrifying. Yeesh.
I hop in the car, turning it on, it's chilly so I turn up the heat, smiling to myself as I start driving. This is gonna be a long drive.
°>°>°>°>
It wasn't a long drive. It was like a ten minute drive, which it usually is but hey, it wasn't a long drive!
I just arrived here, and I'm staring at the door, and I'm looking at it, and staring at it, and ogling it, and looking at it, and star-
Now is not the time for spacing out April!
Ow!
Is it possible to slap yourself really hard? I just did! It felt like something Temi would do to some unsuspecting stranger. The level of weirdness that girl has!
I walk over to the door, ringing the doorbell. the door opens and I furrow my brows, there's no one here.
"Hi!" A voice calls out and I gasp, holding out the keys.
"A-are you a g-ghost? Show yourself!" I yell, narrowing my eyes to see the ghost.
Wait! You can't see ghosts can you?
"Huh? I'm down here!" The tiny voice calls again and I look down slowly, my eyes landing on a little girl with black hair and piercing blue eyes staring at me.
She looks like a mini Austin.
Oh my gosh! She is a mini Austin!
"Oh, um, sorry, is your brother home?" I ask and she nods, slamming the door.
Well that was weird.
The door opens again and Austin smiles at me, rolling his eyes as the little girl tugs his shorts.
"Hey April, this is my sister Layla and Layla, this is April, the girl I told you about." He says and her eyes widen.
"You're right, she is pretty!" She exclaims and Austin's eyes widen. He blushes and rushes into the house, leaving me a laughing mess. I walk into the house and close the door behind me.
"I'm sorry for slamming the door like that, but my aunt Kai says that you should never let someone you don't know inside the house." She says and I smile at her.
"I think your aunt Kai is a really smart person." I agree an pinch her cheeks. She squeals and runs over to the couch, jumping right onto Austin.
"I thought you were going to see them later this week?" I ask him and he turns to me, Layla's hands in his hair.
"Yeah, but mom and dad got a free ticket to Rome and they wanted to go, so I figured I'd take care of Layla and let them enjoy their fifteenth honeymoon or something." He says and I smile.
"Someone's adorable." I chirp and go to pinch his cheeks but he swats my fingers away, glaring at me.
"Stop it!" He whines and crosses his arms, pouting.
Without thought, I lean in and kiss his cheek, my smile slowly slipping off my face. He turns to me, his eyes darkening.
"Ugh, kiss already!"
