"There you are."
I was stunned.
"I didn't mean to scare you." Corbin said.
I walked down the stairs.
"Have I kept you waiting?" I asked.
"Only for almost an hour." he replied.
For real? Have I really been in his room for almost an hour?
"I am sorry. I didn't know. You should have atleast put a clock in there."
Crap!
I just put the blame on him when in fact it was really my fault for losing track of time while sightseeing the strangeness of his strange room.
Corbin smiled. As usual, it melts my heart.
"I will put a clock in there but for now allow me to properly introduce myself. My name is..." he stopped. He took a deep sigh and said "Well you already know..."
Is he hesitating? He already knows that I know besides, it's just a name.
"Your name is Corbin. Of course I know you." I interrupted.
He smiled but this time it wasn't the same. I waited for him to ask my name. I mean I could just say it but he seems distracted.
BAAAAAAAAM!
I heard a loud slam upstairs and I'm pretty sure Corbin heard it too.
"Are we the only ones inside the house?" I asked.
"Yes." he answered abruptly.
But I saw shadows inside those two rooms. I can't tell what it is but it was moving and now the slamming.
"Shouldn't you go check upstairs?" I asked.
Corbin smiled. It kinda melts my heart.
"It's probably Caspian." Corbin said.
"I knew it! We're not the only people inside the house!" I exclaimed. "So who is Caspian? Is he your cousin?"
"He's my brother."
Corbin has a brother?
"I thought you were an only child." I said.
"Caspian is actually my pet cat. I consider him as my twin brother."
Wow. He is a catperson. I knew it!
"It's a little funny because we're actually triplets." he added.
Okayyyy. Corbin is such a diehard fan of cats he consider them as family.
"It isn't funny, it is actually cute." I said.
"You think so?" he smiled.
"So what's the name of your other cat? " I asked.
"His name is Cullen." then he laughed.
I laughed with him but deep down I didn't get what he said.
"You must be hungry. Come dine with me." he said.
I wish I could stay for a little longer.
"I think it's best if I just go home. My mother is waiting for me."
"You are probably wondering what happened last night." he said. "I'll drive you home and tell you on the way."
