Chereads / My Triple Prince / Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: I Do

Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: I Do

We went out of the house.

"Shoot!" I exclaimed.

"What's wrong?" Corbin asked.

"What time is it?"

Corbin checked his phone and said "It's almost 9 pm."

"Can we please hurry back home?"

"Of course." Corbin said then he opened the door of his car for me. I got in and seated at the front. Corbin started to drive.

"I hope you don't mind me asking..." Corbin said. "Why are we in a hurry?" he asked.

"It's late and my mother is going to kill me." I replied.

"Wow. Like literally or figuratively?"

"Somewhere in between?"

He laughed. Oh my gosh I made him laugh!

"So how much can you recall?" Corbin asked.

I looked at the view of the car window and tried to remember. It's strange how I remember too little of what happened earlier.

"I remember screaming. There were so many people. "

I looked at him and said "You were there too."

Corbin looked back at me and smiled. Once again I can feel my temperature rising. I looked away.

"What else can you remember?" he asked.

For real. Isn't it supposed to be me who should be asking all the questions? Since it's Corbin asking, I would gladly answer. I don't care if it takes a hundred or a thousand more questions, I would still answer.

But how can I tell Corbin that I remember the time he asked me to be his date without my temperature rising? I feel like I'm about to explode just by thinking of it. Besides, I probably remembered it wrong. Corbin would never ask me such a thing. I even doubt that he knows my name.

"Anything else?" Corbin asked.

"That was all of it. I remember nothing else." I replied.

Corbin took a right turn and stopped the car a few meters after.

"Look at me." he said.

I want to look at him. I really do! But not while he's looking back at me.

"Crsytal." Corbin said.

The way he said my name was just so beautiful. I looked at him.

"Y-you know my n-name?" I stuttered.

Corbin smiled and said "Of course I know your name."

Corbin and I go to the same school since elementary and we barely even talk. No wait. We never really did in the first place. So how? How is it possible for Corbin to know my name by any chance?

"How did you know my name?" I asked.

"It says in your school ID."

Right! So foolish of me!

"Crystal there is something that I have been meaning to ask you." Corbin said. "I hope you don't mind me asking..." he added.

If he's going to ask me to marry him I wouldn't mind at all!

I would even say "I do" without hesitation.

Corbin took a deep breath and before he could say anything.

"I DO!" I blurted out.

*cricket sound*

Shoot!

I must have said it pretty out loud.

Corbin sat back, still surprised by what I said.

I couldn't tell if he's happy or upset. All I know is that he's filled with curiosity. Probably wondering where and how I got the audacity to scream "I DO" for no reason.

Corbin cleared his throat and took his phone out of his pocket.

I know that it's none of my business but I think I saw him open Google map.

He's probably Google mapping a perfect location for our Honeymoon.

Which is impossible! Corbin and I can't go on a honeymoon. He has to marry me first. That's if and only if he wants to marry me.

I look away to give him a little privacy.

"Strange." Corbin said. "I couldn't find any registered place named I DO in town." he added.

Corbin looked at me and asked if I live outside the city.

I said no and I asked him why.

"That's what I've been meaning to ask you since you woke up." he said.

"You mean my address?" I asked.

"Yes." he replied.

I bit my lip really hard it almost fell off.

This is so embarrassing. Before he could see me blushing, I borrowed his phone and input my address in google map.

Corbin said "That's better." then he put up that heart melting smile on his face.

"Let's drive you home safely before your mom kills you or me." then he giggled.

Corbin started the car and drove.

What happened was just so embarrassing.

If this is all just a dream, I want to wake up as in right now.

" I do my a_ss." I whispered to myself.
