Chapter 9 - 09 | TERMINATE

Alexia pov

It's hard to remember the sweet moments rather than the nightmares.

How many times I had fought those hunters to escape. Running from pack to pack just to stay alive. My hand was drenched in blood since the very first kill. Regret was never on the tip of my tongue because revenge was.

After seven long hard years of being alone. I had forgotten...

Forgotten what love is.

Forgotten how it feels to at least feel wanted even if it was a show of act.

Now I lives among humans. Sure some where kind enough to think of shifters as equals but what if they knew I was one among them. Would they reject me too.

All I want is to feel loved. Was that too much to ask for. Did the goddess above hate me so much to not even give me a mate that would accept me for me.

My dreams never changed. Every night it repeated in my unconscious mind as I dreamt. That day that everything change. The day that I watched the people I knew my whole life die before me.

I always wondered why did they let me live. Why did they all sacrifice themselves for a girl like me? I could have promised them that nothing was special about me. I was worth nothing to our kind.

I would awaken drenched in sweat, heart pounding trying to rip out of my chest but I would never scream. I no longer tried to get rid of the dream, it was no use. It was the only way i could remember their faces. I simply continued with my no use of a life.

Just as i am now. My life was the same cycle. Awaken from the same nightmare, get ready for work, go to work and earn money to fit in and hide, then come back to my apartment. Maybe spend time with the Sawnell's and then the cycle would repeat itself.

Cleaning a table with a rag I watched and listened carefully as a group of hunters is in a silent argument of who had killed the most werewolves.

They all looked so proud of what they had accomplished. But the disgust I felt was beyond repair. I held my face neutral trying not to grab the used dirty ketchup stained knife off the plate just to stab each and every one of them in between their eyes or maybe just Ripping off an arm, chopping the fingers and legs, pulling out their eyeballs with my claws, and finally skinning them and pouring vinegar over them. All just to hear their pleading.

I rethink what I just thought. Scrunching my face in disgust I get rid of those feline suggestions.

Jeez psycho much Alex?

Now you are no better than they are.

"Hey turn the volume up."

The man Gregory a usual customer, caught everyone's attention when pointing to the flat screen TV mounted on a far wall.

Kaylee the one behind the counter lifted a remote and pointed it to the TV making the volume rise.

I turned my attention also to the TV that showed a blonde looking frantically around but looked calmly. Everyone was now watching, even the hunters.

"I am standing in front of what was once the grand pavilion that was filled with more than two thousand people and still counting but have been killed in a blast due to plenty of bombs that were placed all over. Unfortunately non that were found had survived. Leaving the people on scene devastated. Polices have not reported any signs of who had planned this attack. As you can see bodies are been taken away as soon as they are pulled out of the rubble. Our forensics specialists will be trying their best to identify the burnt bodies to possibly return to their families for proper burial. We give our condolences to the famil..."

Kaylee lowered the volume. Everyone was in silence. An elderly man took of his cap and ran his hands over his face in shock just as I was and everyone else.

"I am sure it was those fucking shifters." A hunter yell outraged.

"Yeah those monsters caused this." A lady followed after.

Soon everyone was screaming. Some were crying for they had loved ones in that pavilion.

Plates were thrown and smashed on the floor.

I looked at Phil and saw the panic in his eyes. He motioned to the children that held fear all over their faces. The crowed in the dinner were becoming louder and dangerous.

Looking at Justin and his friends that always comes here after school. They were hurled in a close hug. Afraid of the adults.

I don't know what happened but looking at the children being scared suddenly made something in my head snap furiously. I climbed onto the chair, then table and stood.

"Silence!" I screamed. My voiced bounced of walls, catching their attention, they slowly became quiet.

"This is a family diner. Look around you'll. There are children here who are scared. Yes we all are in shock and angry but if you want to go on a rampage and damage more stuff I suggest you leave. The language you are using in front of these kids are pathetic. Behave or leave!"

Eyes were moved constantly back and forth from me to the children.

It was the hunters that were the first to leave after throwing a couple of bills and coins on the table, pushing back their chairs and left but not before sending glares and comments my ways. I did not pay attention to them as I checked on the kids. Especially one of the hunters that kept looking at me strangely.

Half the diner was cleared leaving a few behind. My co-workers began cleaning up. This place looked like a ship wreak. Literally!...

Today was a disaster. After news had gotten out about the bomb, we had few customers. On top of that the manager of the diner had decided to close the diner for a few days saying with sad eyes that his family were in that blast. We all were shock and no one said otherwise to not close the dinner.

After doing our final round of cleaning, the diner was closed early.

Grabbing my purse and coat from the back room. I said my byes to Phil and the rest. Not that I was friends with them but I had to play nice.

While driving backing to the apartment I sang along to 'Blinding lights, by The Weeknd' that was playing on the radio. It's my favorite song. I always imagined a sci-fi movie like flying cars when I hear the beat. There was just something about it that got my imagination running.

I was at peace. Driving smoothly on the road when suddenly I was hit from the back. The impact was hard, catching me off guard.

I hardly had time to slam the brakes when my car was pushed forward flying into a pole. My forehead bounced on the steering wheel hard. A buzzing sound was all I heard. I removed my seat belt feeling irritated by it.

I blinked a few times as I laid my head back on the seat. A migraine was approaching. Blood trickled down my head.

I turned to view out of my window but then the only thing was the seconds that passed by and my hitched breath.

A green van came speeding for my side of the car. A scream escaped my mouth as my Mini Cooper was pushed and flipped over crashing.

My body was flung through the glass window. Half was inside while my top half was lying on my back on the road with glass pieces everywhere and stabbed in me.

The ringing grew as my vision began to get blurry. I cried out as my vision got black, before I was taken into my unconscious mind I heard a voice.

"We've got her boss."

I could not react because soon after the blackness consumed me.
