Chapter 21 - Chapter 21

Standing on the deck of a Sloops' bow as it sailed across the lake, Floris stood tapping his foot with his arms crossed as he gave Alvis a chilling and very displeased stare.

"So, let me get this straight, Alvis. We... No, you were chased onto this ship, forcing us to leave before we had a chance to gather any supplies we might have needed and to gather any information about the Mages Guild that might have been useful to us... Because you grabbed a girls' breasts?!"

Alvis laughed nervously while rubbing the back of his head, "Well, uh... You see... She was the first girl I've ever seen... And they were so big and 'out there' that I just couldn't help myself."

Floris glared at Alvis with an even more chilling stare that put Alvis a little on edge, "The first girl I met kissed me on my cheek! And you had to ruin it by pulling a stunt like that?!"

"B-b-b-but you should've seen her, Floris! Long blonde hair, brown eyes, a curvy body! Oh, and those big melons of hers! I tell ya, you would've done the same!" Alvis said, dreamfully.

Floris only stared at Alvis with a face of disgust, then sighed heavily as he looked down. He took in a deep breath, then looked at Alvis again, "Alvis... You leave me no other choice."

Alvis looked into Floris' eyes and could see a familiar look he dreaded the sight of. He grinned nervously and started sweating, then took off running, "Oh, no ya don't! You're not doing that to me here!" He felt something wrap around his ankles, making him trip and fall. He rolled over on his back and saw Floris approaching with some rope over his shoulder. Alvis' eyes narrowed in fear and he started crawling away, "No! No! NOOOOOOOOO!!!"

Floris tied the last knot in the rope, then looked at Alvis, who was tied to the front of the ship, "Maybe this will teach you some manners. Honestly, of all the things for you to do, I would've thought you had more common sense than to pull off something like that!"

Alvis stared at the water below him with petrified eyes, then looked at Floris, "Okay, okay! I'm sorry, alright! Just get me out of this! The last time you did this to me I was hanging over a bunch of angry Swamp Boars! I still have nightmares from that whole ordeal!"

"Oh, you mean from the time you nearly blew up the entire village by messing with my alchemy set? That was the last time you embarrassed me, so you'll make up for this the same way." Floris said as he looked down at Alvis with his arms crossed.

"Oh, come on! You know I hate this, just let me out already!" Alvis squirmed.

Floris smirked and turned his back to Alvis, "You know, one of the sailers told me of a giant monster who lives at the bottom of this lake. It's attracted to loud screaming, so, I'd suggest piping down a bit."

Alvis' eyes widened a little, and he stared silently at the water below, "I won't say another word."

"I'm glad we have an understanding. Now... I wonder if there's anything to eat on this ship." Floris said as he walked away.
