Eu Meh snickered uneasily before speaking,
"Guo Qiang dear, what are you doing here? Looking for something?" Eu Meh asked in a best natural way possible. A flicker of guilt flashed through her eyes, Guo Qiang could see it and sense it's trance; but he didn't want to act rash.
He smacked his lips and smiled, raising his body from the edge of the entrance.
"Yes, actually I was thirsty, so I came to get water." He replied and sauntered towards the refrigerator standing at the extreme end of the well furnished and equipped kitchen.
Eu Meh secretly heaved a long sigh of relief, and continued to put on the act.
"Okay dear, I'll leave first."
Guo Qiang replied with a nod, gulping silently on the cold bottle of water he had taken from the refrigerator.
He watched his mother hurry out like she was being chased by something.
Guo Qiang began to have doubts and couldn't help but feel suspicious about her demeanor.
He decided to follow her, when he felt his phone vibrate inside his pocket. His thick brows creased producing a light frown. He brought out his cell and checked the caller ID, it was Chan Juan. There was a broad smile on his face as he delightfully answered the call, her sublimed voice came through first.
"Brother Qiang!" Chan Juan exclaimed, Guo Qiang smiled even though she couldn't see him.
"Chan Juan, don't tell me you're missing home already?" Guo Qiang teased as he walked towards the counter in the kitchen and leaned against it.
Chan Juan waved her hands, and replied.
"Oh please, I only miss you Brother Qiang. You're the only good one to me."
"Hehe. How have you been? How do you feel being married?" Guo Qiang bantered as he smirked mischievously. Chan Juan knew that her Brother Qiang was beginning to tease her about her one day marriage; which she doesn't even understand what is happening to her any longer. Her voice became solemn and sadness loomed over her pretty face.
"Brother Qiang, I don't want to stay here at all. They're all nice to me but I don't feel comfortable staying here, I feel there's..." Chan Juan trailed off, picking interest in her petite fingers.
She doesn't know whether to tell Guo Qiang or not; that she was beginning to see things. It will sound very crazy and she doesn't want to disturb him. He has so much already on his shoulders that he has to handle.
Guo Qiang was looking displeased at Chan Juan's sudden muteness.
"Little Sister, you know, you can always confide in me. What troubles you? Tell me." Guo Qiang asked in a pacifying tone with hope that she discloses her worries to him, but already Chan Juan had made up her mind.
"It's nothing Brother Qiang. I just feel I wouldn't make the perfect wife, and I'm also worried sick about Guo Daiyu. Impersonating her is no easy thing for me to do, Brother Qiang."
Guo Qiang creased his lips and wrinkled the space between his brows, he looked gloomy.
"We are trying our best right now, she just seemed to disappear into thin air without a trace. I am sure we will definitely get to those kidnappers, for now you just have to endure, okay? Everything will be resolved as soon as she's found, I promise."
Chan Juan fluttered her lashes, and exhaled deeply.
"I believe you Brother Qiang."
Guo Qiang's smile hardened on his face,
"Take care of yourself."
Chan Juan hummed and cut the call.
She dropped her phone on the bed, snuggling her long legs close, with her hands crossed before her legs.
Speculating on what had happened earlier in the living room, she was so scared as hell, all what she focused on was getting out of that horrific moment, she couldn't get to see what was behind the black fog and those scary eyes.
Chan Juan rolled her eyes beneath her eye lids as she looked at the bulky dress on her body. She needed to change into something light,
She got up from the bed and trudged towards the closet; she didn't expect to see her clothes already arranged, and not only that. It included other clothes from popular and expensive brands all of which were limited editions, down to the shoes, bags and accessories.
Fancy!
Chan Juan swept her hands through the long line of clothes and finally settled on a long maxi dress.
Chan Juan impatiently pulled out the two pieces dress; after putting on the rosewood-pink maxi dress with an eye-catching gradation of pink. Aligning her thine waist and flat belly, showing off her perfect and simple curves, she retired to the bed feeling impressed in herself.
After a short while, she began to get bored. She and Shao Jinhai hadn't seen since breakfast and evening was approaching. She wanted to do something fun, but she wasn't really a social media person. Guo Daiyu had once opened a Weibo account for her four years ago and that was the last time she logged into it.
She took a glimpse of the bedside table and saw her laptop laying peacefully on it, she narrowed her eyes in surprise.
The servants here really know what they are doing, arranging and putting everything in place, such impeccableness.
She sucked in so much air, and the thought struck her. At least she'll get to be away from Eu Meh's constant verbal flaying.
She took the laptop and switched it on, with the aim of doing nothing at first. Staring at the home screen for a while, she decided to take a look at her pictures, she scrolled through pictures of when she was in University, to when she was just a teenager and then memorable pictures of her mother. She flicked her lashes, a visible, sad smile appeared on her face.
"I miss you so much Mom." She uttered.
Then an idea flashed through her mind, her stay in the Shao Family was on probability and definitely temporal, if Guo Daiyu is found she will need to get out of her place.
In that case, she needed to get a job, and go far away from everyone, as far as she could possibly go.
"Yes! That's the plan!" She blurted and smiled satisfyingly.
Then she went on the internet, and stared at the search bar for a while, then she smirked at her thoughts.
She was going to do a thorough research on the Shao Family, she typed in fastly into the search bar and watched it load for results.
And was bedazzled by what she saw, she only knew few things about them but hadn't gone to deep before, but now she is.
Shao Jinhai was of course a pottery genius from an enormously wealthy and famous background, but there was another thing that Chan Juan didn't know.
The famous art museum in all of X City, Gan Su Art Museum is owned by Shao Jinhai.
Chan Juan's jaw dropped, as she drooled over what she had just read and seen.
She looked down to it's net worth and it was something she didn't dare see twice, her handsome and cold husband is so rich.
"Holy moly!" Chan Juan exclaimed, her eyes wide opened in astonishment.
She narrowed her eyes, her forefinger hanging from the side of her mouth as she slowly rotated her head in wonder.
