Chapter 54 - Sleepless

It has been about a month since the event Schaffe encountered Jack. The Man who killed his mother. It was the first of November of 1888 and Jack had claimed two more victims and all of London where in panic as the infamous Jack The Ripper was starting to get a threat.

Schaffe was in his studies, and he started to look like he had not slept, it was still the effects of these nightmares he had been having. He was having lunch with everyone.

"Are you feeling alright?" asked Victoria.

  "Just peachy," said Schaffe.

"The Doctor told him he must be suffering insomnia but that's all he told us," said Jay.

"Must be the work of this Ripper's magic," said Alucard. "It getting bad, Liam's family has refused to leave their home for safety reasons."

"It's probably for the best, we could leave for holiday as well," said Jay. "Maybe a trip somewhere could help sir."

"Maybe you right, a time away from London could help all of us, send word to Liam of the idea," said Schaffe. "I have to get back to work, I am almost done." He gets up and leaves.

"I hope it cures his problem," said Victoria. "I'm starting to worry about him."

"We all are, My Lady," said Jay.

Schaffe gets to his office and sits on his couch in there.

"Man, for some reason I feel more ill than usual here," said Schaffe. He gets up and heads for his desk but he sees the room start to shake his vision gets blurry as he passes out and falls on his desk knocking over paperwork and an inkwell on his desk.

A half hour goes by and Jay brings in tea for him.

"Sir," said Jay before he dropped to the floor seeing Schaffe on the ground. He tries to revive him he is not dying but he is not getting up from Jay slapping his face or shaking him. He would then call for an emergency to get him to the hospital.

They would be in the waiting room outside the emergency room.

"He is in a coma now," said Jay. "But his life is not in danger."

"How do we know that for sure?" asked Jonathan. "This seems to be more than life-threatening and beyond a doctor's help."

"It seems so but nothing is certain, plus I don't know who can help in that sphere," said Jay.

"Yeah, there probably, no one who could help," said Alucard.

"Perhaps I could help you," said Godo, who warps into the room.

  "Godo?" asked Jonathan.

"I have sense, Lord Frye was in trouble and wanted to see what is wrong," said Godo. Jonathan would explain what had happened to Schaffe.

"So, you think you could help him?" asked Alucard.

"I will see what I can do," said Godo. They enter Schaffe's room where he is laying down in a bed in there and Godo goes and looks at him.

"It was some sort of mental attack spell," said Jonathan.

"Indeed, a very ancient Demonic Spell, I have not seen this in the last thousand years," said Godo. "But I can help him, but it won't be an easy task."

"What would that be?" asked Victoria.

"Well, I would need someone to go in and eliminate the problem in his mind. The spell uses a target to attack the mind with its nightmare creature made from the target," said Godo.

"Jonathan, would you go?" asked Victoria.

"I guess, I have no choice here," said Jonathan.

"I will go fetch your weapon at home," said Jay.

"You should prepare yourself as this will be no easy task for you," said Godo.
