Chapter 22 - Sewer

Schaffe was walking to another Job with Jonathan in the city of London.

"It be a couple of days before we get our submarine ready for our trip below the sea," said Schaffe.

"Understandable I guess," said Jonathan as he saw people staring at him because of his eyes.

"I already can tell you not the most popular one here," said Schaffe.

"Like I care for what they think of me," said Jonathan.

"I hope you don't care about getting a little dirty today?" asked Schaffe.

"What something needs to be taken care of?" asked Jonathan.

"You can say that. But the place we need to go is well the sewers," said Schaffe.

  "Fine by me," said Jonathan.

"Only asked because of your attire," said Schaffe.

"I'm not my sister, Clown," said Jonathan.

"Fair point," said Schaffe. They get to the Sewer entrance and enter.

They enter the Sewers of London, and Schaffe covers his nose.

"Man, it stinks down here," said Schaffe.

"Just think some people that hate you can now take a shit on you," said Jonathan with a menacing smile.

  "Not funny, Johnny," said Schaffe.

"So, any way what are we hunting down here?" asked Jonathan.

"A giant rat it been feeding on the people and has been last saw down here," said Schaffe.

"It seems too simple," said Jonathan.

"Oh, you think this job is easy?" asked Schaffe.

"For me, yes," Jonathan begins to walk and search for the target.

"Then you take the lead then, my fearless leader," said Schaffe. Jonathan walks around until he sees a huge rat eating on what was a stolen cattle cow.

"My you're are a big one, are you?" asked Jonathan drawing his blade out. The Rat sees him and starts to charge at him. but as he got close it stopped in place.

  "The bloody hell?" questioned Schaffe.

"Sorry, I made sure you didn't suffer," said Jonathan who put his blade away as the Rat fell to the ground dead.

"I didn't see you kill him," said Schaffe.

"Like I said it was too easy," said Jonathan. They leave the sewer back to the surface.

They walked back to the manor where Jay was waiting.

  "That was quick?" asked Jay.

"Well, what can I say, Jonathan is a prodigy at this," said Schaffe.

"I see, he is even more dangerous than our last meeting," said Jay.

  "He doesn't bite," said Schaffe.

"At least not yet," Jonathan remarked as he left them.

"He seems not to be pleased, but I can't get a read on him," said Jay.

"I think he happy, the only thing he wants is to protect his siblings," said Schaffe.

"Speaking of which, Lady Rebecca has sent you a letter, it is probably a holiday card," said Jay.

"Or a letter asking to come visit to France," said Schaffe.

"Maybe you should once this statue business," said Jay.

"I will give it thought, but don't be surprised if I don't," said Schaffe.

"Sir, one of these days, we just going to see her show up," said Jay.

"And? I do not see that as a problem, this will always be her home," said Schaffe.

"And what would she think of the werewolves and the vampires?" asked Jay.

"She thinks I have been busy," said Schaffe. Jay facepalms with his left hand.

"What Am I going to do with you sir," asked Jay.

"Enjoy the show," said Schaffe with a chuckle.
