They enter The Palace's Throne Room where they see multiple pools in it and they see the statue on a pedestal next to the throne.
"It's still here," said Jonathan.
"We are not alone," said Schaffe. They see something swimming in the pools around them. They see a creature come out of the pool near the throne. It had the upper body of a woman and the lower body of a snake. its hair looked like many snakes' heads; on her face, she had yellow reptilian eyes.
"So, Father has sent you, Medusa," said Jonathan.
"Yes, and I should thank you. if it was not for you, I would not be able to get the statue," said Madusa. "That thing outside drains the power that protects the statue."
"Ah, so that means you want to rid us now," said Schaffe. "After our hard work."
"She has always been a parasite," said Jonathan.
"I will make sure you will all die here," said Madusa. She sinks back down in the water. Schaffe goes into a breast pocket in his jacket grabs a vial of a purple liquid drinks it and coughs since it is bitter.
"I hate drinking this but it brings my magic power back up," said Schaffe.
"What's the plan?" asked Liam.
"I need to charge a bit," said Schaffe. "I have an Idea." They see Madusa pop out of a pool near them attacking them but Liam claws her with his right at her left and makes her retreat in with blood in the pool.
"Take that," said Liam. They drew their weapons and waited for her to appear again.
"I should be ready just don't go near the pools," said Schaffe. They see her come up and attack again and Jonathan slashes at her. Schaffe runs to the pool she is in uses lighting magic at it and starts to elect cute her. He sees her grab him with both her hands.
"I'm not going alone," said Madusa. The snakes on her head bite Schaffe injecting poison into him.
"Damn," said Schaffe. Jonathan comes over and stabs her in the forehead killing her and she lets us go of him and her body floats in the pool. Schaffe started to stumble back and his vision was starting to get blurry.
"Schaffe?" asked Alucard. Schaffe falls back as he is poisoned and passes out.
"Stay with us, fool," said Jonathan. Schaffe could barely hear him as he passed out or could not see. He feels like his body is being carried like a sack of potatoes on something furry which is Liam's shoulder, But Schaffe would finally pass out and he begins to have a nightmare. Something from his past that he would never forget even in his lifetime. The night that his mother was murdered right in front of him was a night for a young boy.
Schaffe vision was still blurry but it would not be a problem as he can remember this night clearer than anything he could remember in his childhood. Schaffe was on the floor of his mother's room playing with a wooden soldier while his mother was sitting in her mirror. He could not see her face as it was blurry to him now. They hear glass break nearby outside. Schaffe's mother goes to Schaffe and places him in the closet so he can be safe.
"Stay here," said Schaffe's Mother. She closes the door and he hears her go to the door and it sounds like someone broke in. Schaffe would hear struggling to go on till he heard as if something was getting stabbed. Schaffe would see the closet door open and he looked horrified as he saw his mother gutted like a pig in the middle of the room with the wooden toy covered in her blood. He sees a man there wearing an old potato sack over his head with eye holes The only thing Schaffe remembered about this man was his cold pitch-black eyes that looked soulless. The Man was ready to kill Schaffe with his knife in his left hand before they heard a bunch of footsteps coming towards the room.
"I guess you're a lucky boy," said the Man who goes and jumps out the window he opened the room and ran away and Schaffe began to awaken.
