Shenny spent the rest of the day eating unhealthy food and binge-watching on Netflix. She replayed Level 23 of Candy Crush Saga up to 7 times and she still couldn't get past the damned level. And then she made her Talking Angela cuss unholy words out of pure, priceless boredom.
Kai came by again but she had locked her door and he spent up to 15 minutes trying to fool her with his normal talk. When he finally gave up,he left and didn't come back. Her parents didn't come up once.
They better shouldn't. I wouldn't answer them either way, she thought with disdain.
Later on,her parents left the house, probably to the barbecue next door that her neighbors were hosting. And Kai...well,he was the normal kid,he got to do what he wanted anyways.
Shenny decided to just take a sneak peak next door. The barbecue smelt like heaven and she wondered how things were going down there. She went to her other window at the other side if her room that directly faced her neighbors backyard. She briefly remembered when she and Milya, her friend usually trashed their empty cans and wraps there and overheard Mrs. Rufford's screams.
Milya. She hadn't come visit her too. Guess no one wants someone that ain't normal huh? Dispersing those thoughts, she quietly drew up the latch of the window. The scent of the barbecue was the strongest here. Shenny smiled as her tummy rumbled. All those pizza and chips and soda did nothing, huh?
Just as she turned to go,she heard a miffed but heated voice somewhere below. "...what are you thinking of, John?! You guys don't have a choice! You have to send her there!" A voice she recognized as Mrs. Rufford whisper-yelled.
A sigh was heard. "Anya, its not easy at all..." My father began but was cut off. "Yes,it is John. Send her to Irkshore. She's not normal. She has a freaking Ancients blood running in her veins. Don't be stupid. Send her to the school." Georg,Mrs. Rufford's husband's quiet and calm voice floated up into her room.
They were talking about her! Shenny took a step back as tears blurred her vision. So this is what they were doing? They were conspiring in secret on how to get rid of her. What did they mean by Ancient blood, though?
"For the sake of Orleanus, talk to this indecisive man you call a husband!" Mrs. Rufford's voice was heard.
"Blessed above, keep your voice down, woman! We're directly below the child's window!" Georg spat, irritated.
For the first time,Mom talked. "Okay. We'll do it. Come on,John. Let's go."
Just then,Sanya, the Rufford's only daughter broke in. "Mommy! Tomm took my barbecue!!" She screamed.
Shenny brought down the latch, quietly and walked over to her bed, flopping down on it. She stared at her peach ceiling. They were going to send her away. The people she called her parents were so eager to see her leave. She laid awake, counting the squares on the ceiling till she didn't know when she drifted off.

Why had she woken up? She couldn't remember. She was dreaming of tea pots...why was she dreaming of tea pots? She blinked her eyes open groggily. At first, everything she saw was foggy but she tried to clear the haze. Once she had managed to clear some sleep away, something stirred in her chest.
Someone's in the room.
She looked up to see a hazy figure a few inches from her bed. Instead of panicking, she tilted her head to the side. "Care to state your name and business?" She asked. The figure remained from a second before purple dust began to rim around him at his feet.
"Wha-" Shenny began but he faded into nothingness, making the purple to die away slowly. She sat up and looked around the room. She reached over to her bedside table and turned on the lamp. It added a dim light to the room and she nodded, satisfied before going to the bathroom to attend to her business.
Once she came out,she made her way back to her bed when a slight breeze brushed her cheek like a light feather. She turned and saw her window open. Did she leave it open? Nah. She didn't do that. She moved over to the window and was about to close it when she spotted and envelope.
Intrigued, she picked it up and turned it over. It was white and completely blank. No name, address, sender. Nothing. Slowly, she opened the envelope. Gray with a slight shade of blue dust floated out of the envelope and she let out a soft gasp and took a step back.
The dust swirled round and round and Shenny let out a small chuckle. Magic. Damn, this was crazy. The dust soon began to weave words, suspended in the air.

Just as the last letter was woven, the magic began to dim and dwindle and before she knew it,a paper landed on her palm with the words that were just woven on it. Shenny stood there, her mind still trying to comprehend what just happened. After getting herself in check, she folded the paper and put it in the envelope and kept it in her drawer.
She slid in bed and lay awake for sometime before turning to her side. As she closed her eyes to sleep, she chuckled and said, "You could've have just sent the paper,Kayan,I would've read it either way."
Something feather like brushed against her cheek and gave a breathy chuckle. "Aren't you just right, mai merrâ "
