Chereads / THAT SAD KIND OF BEAUTY / Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

I returned to my vacant villa to encounter my mother who was with Aunty shweta gossiping about overnight famous, Mrs. Gupta whose daughter ran away with her boyfriend last night.

Her hurricane of questions blowed me again:

"Where were you?"

"Why is your dress so revealing?"

"I told you to wear a decent dress wherever you go. Right?"

"Shhhhh, please just shut up. I will just look like a combed pussy if I wear your effing decent clothes."

That aunty must take a note pad to take an account on me.

"Aunty Shweta, haven't you got a spicy gossip today ?"

"Maya, is that the way you talk?" she shouted and I rolled my eyes, "you are ruining yourself day by day."

"I know that I am an epitome of self destruction"

She slapped me and demanded me to go into my room.

I went into the restroom and glanced at my bare face which reflected that innocent easy Maya. I flushed and turned nostalgic when that cute man complemented me.

I was trembled by my panged past. I lifted the mirror and banged it on the floor, which shattered into pieces.I picked up the shattered pieces which resembled my personality - my personality pricked everyone, even me.

I heard continous knocking at my door.

"Eveything is fine?," the maid (aunty Simran) asked.

"Yes," I shouted.

"What was that sound?"

"I accidentally broke a mirror."

"Are you fine?"

"Yes aunt."

I took a long shower and rubbed the portion where that guy touched me, I was smiling at his sugary gesture. The water was warm, the sprinkles were gentle.

I applied a moisturizer and wore a short and a blue tshirt.

"Maya, did you eat anything?"

"I have already eaten."

She entered my room and I was lying at my back.

She saw my deep cut.

"That cut is dense," she said in concern.

"That's just....."

"Haven't you treated it? It might give you septic."

She immediately brought the first aid box and aided me.

"Are you not concern about yourself?"

"Thankyou. My family were never concerned about me."

"You are wrong."

She placed that first aid box at the unknown place.

"I don't need 'em"

She went away. I slept again.
