Matthew, Cindy, Melissa and the kids could pass through the security check smoothly whereas on the other hand, Alex and Mark were stopped for 10 more minutes for looking suspicious.
Alex: What a hassle!
Mark: Who knew dressing up like that would cost this much.
Alex: Now, where do you think they are?
Mark: They're probably waiting in the VIP lounge.
Alex: It's better if we keep our distance from them.
Mark: yeah.

After entering the lounge, Cindy quickly sat with her kids on a sofa for three. Matthew glared at Melissa in disappointment, Melissa smiled back apologetically. Cindy had this wicked smile on her face as if she was winning in getting Matthew and Melissa together.
Matthew: Let's get some foods and drinks before we start our 14-hours long journey, shall we?
Melissa: I'd like a glass of rosé, it's been so long I have drank it.
Cindy: I'd go for champagne.
Matthew: Me too and what about kids?
Cindy: Milk and cookies.
Matthew: As you wish, m'lady.
Cindy looked at Melissa to see how she reacts when Matthew flirts with her but she looked indifferent. Cindy thought, 'The way Melissa reacted when Matthew got sick, she got to have feelings for him. It wasn't like her.'
On the other hand, Melissa was worried that Mr.Davis might doubt her. She recalled her conversation with him.
Dylan: After few days, that bast*rd will be going to Shanghai for a meeting. I want you to go with him.
Melissa: Why? What are you planning to do?And moreover he won't take me with him.
Dylan: He might not like you much, but you are important to him to get back who he loves the most. He will definitely take you with him.
He paused for a while, "And he knows where his mother is. He won't let this chance go to waste. So just be obedient and listen to your father".
She wasn't feeling helpless like she was back then but she was still anxious and scared that it won't work out. Melissa was deep in her thoughts when Olivia came and hugged her legs, she came back to her senses and saw Olivia looking at her with innocent eyes. Melissa realized she once had those eyes, eyes that once dreamed of having a family with no anger. Her eyes got teary. Olivia asked her worriedly, "Are you crying Aunt Melly?" Matthew looked at Melissa instantly and patted her head.
Melissa shook her head, "No... I'm alright sweety". Cindy observed everything and smiled, "You're not alone anymore Mel, you have us".
Melissa looked at Cindy and smiled, "Thank you...I..."
She couldn't find words to say.
Matthew noticed the waiter bringing food and drink, "Alright! Time to eat a little snack. No more being emotional".

After a while, they got on the plane. Time passed by fast for Cindy and Matthew while for Melissa, Alex and Mark, it was stressful. Melissa gave a faint smile seeing how happy they were and felt her heart getting heavier as the time went by. On the other hand, Alex was worried about Cindy being stuck in this drama without even knowing it.
