Chapter 9 - The Secretive Bow.

Saburo looked around puzzled, but saw no trance of the masked figure, as though he never existed he disappeared without a trace. He looked behind him towards the door and it was left ajar.

Surely he would have heard him open the door. Saburo didn't know wether to doubt his hearing or wether this person used some sort of trick to glide around like a ghost.

After the two settled down Sora looked at the young boy who had accompanied Caleb. The young man was pretty eye catching with the attire he wore. It most definitely was striking, aside from it Sora saw he wore no armour.

Neither clothed nor metallic armour. "Did he have enchanted clothes?" It was a possibility after all. But if he really did match his attire the fact that he wore no sort of armour must be a show of skill.

Normally skilled warriors were usually the ones who were brave enough to wear no sort of armour. Aside from enchants cast on them by themselves, they had to rely on their skills to stop themselves from being injured.

This young man had to be skilled or a fool... Or maybe he wasn't an adventurer and was simply here with Caleb as company, but Caleb wouldn't bring just anyone to his office. Sora thought over.

When he strod a bit closer he noticed some sort of aura around the young boy. It quickly dispersed. Sora could not make end or tails of it.

"What is on your mind boy?"

Saburo was startled out of his haze by Sora's booming voice. He looked at Sora clueless at what he meant.

Sora saw Saburo stare dumbly at him, seemingly confused. So he decided to rephrase his question.

"Am asking why you are looking around as though a valeria wolf is about to jump at you."

Valeria wolf? Saburo was confused at what he meant by this, he was so wrapped up in his own thoughts he forgot to answer Sora's question.

Sora was beginning to be irritated by this young boy. he turned at Caleb and saw him rummaging through his desk.

"Have you no sense of privacy?" He cried out.

Caleb replied unbothered by Sora's cry "Where do you keep your nuts then since you value your pravicy so much."

Sora sighed "Left bottom drawer."

After a bit of scuffling around he finally found them and triumphantly held them up for Sora to see, as he quickly popped one into his mouth.

Sora turned around to see Saburo still in thought.

"Are you going to explain to me why you brought a mute young boy to me?"

"What do you mean by mute?"

"I tried asking him why he looks around as though some sort of prey, but the boy is mute."

"He ain't mute" as Caleb popped another nut

into his mouth. In between his constant chewing he slipped the three words in.

"Who is he anyway?"

"Why don't you ask him then?" Caleb replied.

Sora raised an eyebrow at him.

"Look i wouldn't have brought him to you if there wasn't anything in particular striking about him. Ignore on pleasantries and focus on what he carries."

Sora turned to look at the young more closesly this time and noticed a sling red in colour that was slang across the young man's shoulders. He had already noticed it before but his mind simply paid no heed to it.

He walked closer towards the young man. "Can i see what you have that you are carrying on your back?"

Saburo saw Sora's arm out stretched waiting for the handing of the bow. He willingly obliged removing the bow case under the stare of the two seniors.

Sora recognized the weapon handed to him to be a bow. He felt the bow casing for weight, it was pretty light.

He moved out the bow and was astonished to see such a qaulity bow. He saw it was a magic based bow at that, but such

craftsmanship he had never seen before. He took a seat in one of the chairs positioned besides his desk.

He slowly traced the bow with his fingers admiring such quality he had never seen before. He held his breath as inspected such a weapon, as to not breath on it.

He would sometimes mutter out inaudible words to himself. As he wore a childish expression.

He spoke out with his eyes firmly grasped on the bow. "Did he get this from the elves?" Sora spoke out to himself.

Caleb looked at his stunned expression of disbelief. The serious face mask he normally wore had long been shattered to be replaced with awe and excitement. It had been long since the two have seen such quality of a magic bow.

"See that's what i thought too but then again am not great at this sort of thing so couldn't be too sure." Caleb quickly popped another nut into his mouth.

"Well?" Sora replied.

"Who knows clearly it speaks for itself. Why don't we ask him since you seem at a loss too."

Yes Sora could have simply asked Saburo where he got such a weapon but he wanted at first to try and figure it out himself. His childish excitement could be seen in his eyes.

However he thought it was better to find out himself than simply ask not only was it more satisfying, it was a deterrent to being deceived.

After the inspection of the bow he too had come up with nothing. He had raked through his brain at what could be the origin of this bow.

But he wasn't going to give up just yet. He looked closely at the bow casing itself this time.

The amount of anttention Sora paid to the casing would have seemed ridiculous to some, but Sora was a veteran well versed in weapons. A casing of a weapon could usually give a clue where the weapon was conceived. This particular casing however with-held the clues from him.

He finnaly gave in and turned to Saburo.
