Chapter 8 - The unique greeting.

The person who spoke and was approaching wore a serious face, his figure didn't lose out on Caleb. His face looked as though it was ripped straight from a military drill instructor, unbreakable, with eyes that seemed to have seen it all in his time. He wore a sword, a long sword sheathed in its dark casing. His hair was cut short, he was pretty much bald you could say.

"Who are you calling an old man?" The old senior responded.

"Oh? did i touch a nerve? Am only stating what I see. You are in your 50s after all" He chuckled but not once did his serious expression ease up, it was most uncanny.

The old senior raised an eyebrow before quickly replying. "Oh we stating what we see now are we? Calling others old now are we? Since when did you last look into a mirror Sora. Because I too see an old man."

Sora was quick to fire back. "Am younger than you old man."

"Ohh.. Sure an age difference of a year changes things right? If am old then what does that make you?"

50? The Senior who's path he had crossed as though it was fate was in his 50s. Yes he had never once asked him about his age, but for good reason. Why would he? He hadn't found a suitable moment to do so, he didn't ask him. Clearly his age showed, but he hadn't expected him to be this old.

Infact what baffled him even more was the realisation at how well this senior was built at such an age, broad in the shoulders and with arms that looked like he could slap the man-hood out of you he certainly was built for a man of his age, he looked like he went to the gym 4 to 5 times a day and 'pumped iron'. (Pumped iron can mean doing bodily exercises with weights.)

"That would make me younger than you by my calculations!" Sora spoke out loudly as though he was trying to make this clear to everyone present.

"Right as if being 51 is what people would consider to be young." The old senior seemed amused by this.

Saburo was watching the two exchange and act as though they are kids, shame the reality was different, guess what would that difference be?

Seriously these two were arguing over something as simple as age difference and they were both in their 50s... He wanted to tell them both how stupid it seemed but it wasn't his place to do so.

Saburo decided to see what expression the other person who was also specatating the two wore, however he wasn't the least bit interested he was busy fidgeting with something Saburo couldn't gaze at the angle he was at.

Just as Saburo was trying to work up the courage to move so he could atleast introduce himself to someone, the one other person in the room who wasn't stuck in a childish topic such as age difference. There was a roar.

"Well if you don't want me to call you an old man, why don't you...." Before Sora could finish Caleb roared and swang at him.

Caleb swung a punch Sora, this was a surprising turn of events since he seemed the most calm of out of the two, well from how the interaction had been. It was difficult to judge however since one of them seemed to have no other facial expression than a serious one, but going off voice pitch Caleb would have been the most calm out of the two.

Sora as though he had been expecting this exact reaction from Caleb had already taken a step back, as the punch Caleb threw at his face kissed nothing but air. Caleb was quick though and was already throwing his left straight forwards and had taken a step to close in the distance, Sora saw he wouldn't be able to dodge it so he decided to meet it by turning his shoulder to absorb the punch, Sora grunted in approval.

As soon as he did take Caleb's punch, he took a small step backwards and swung a kick out pretty fast, but Caleb seemed to have read him like an open book and brung his arm to guard against his kick. Caleb also grunted in approval, as though this was common theme among them.

"Not bad" Caleb called out.

Sora replied with "For an old man that wasn't half bad."

This had happened so quick Saburo was caught off guard. He thought of stopping the two but before he could, the other spectator who had been sitting in the chair across the room and had made no efforts in

de-escalating the situation, as though it concerned little to him now appeared besides him. He hadn't even seen the guy move, but here he was right infront of him.

He now wore a mask over his mouth and his hood too, for what reason? Saburo didn't know himself. As though reading Saburo's thoughts, he quickly spoke up.

"This is just how they greet eachother. No need to be worried." At the mention of this Saburo eased up a bit as alot of his worries not all, were dispersed by this, the masked person further added on.

"Caleb is easily provoked by the guild master. In all the meetups they have had Caleb has always been the one to initiate a fight." From this Saburo could see that these two had a habit of 'greeting' eachother in this peculiar way.

The two continued to exchange punchs, as Sora threw a low jab but was blocked by Caleb. Its like they could both read what the other was going to do. Caleb decided to step back and threw a kick, Sora reacted quick and put his elbow in place to block the kick from hitting his exposed side, but Caleb

anticipating this had fooled Sora it was a fake low kick...

Just as it was about to connect with Sora's head Caleb stopped it and held his foot in place. Sora saw his foot inchs away from his head and accepted his defeat by backing down from his fighting stance. Caleb did the same thing too.

Upon seeing the two stop Saburo sighed in relief and he turned only to find the masked guy gone.
