Dr. Kellie looked at her six teens as they sat in silence. She remembered before they took off, they had another secret meeting in Heath and Lilia's room again. Dr. Kellie knew no matter what she would do to keep them in line they still listened to their two leaders; Heath the muscle and Lilia the brain. Dr. Kellie sighed as she returned to the road as her brother-in-law drove them to the Hero League HQ. "You are all so quiet." She said with a simple smile, Lilia stayed quiet, as Vee spoke for the group, "You know; we're all just nervous." Violet or Vee was the group's odd little glue, she would speak for the group when Lilia wouldn't. Yukii knew better than to speak at this moment, she had the sharpest tongue out of her girls.
Yukii was odd since she as the key that had helped them stay human, unlike the boys. Yukii's family to the girl's powers serious, and trained them in martial arts. The girls were never going to tell her, but she looked into their backgrounds and found Yukii's family had sent the girls to Japan every summer to study a different form of martial arts. All owned by Yukii's family or by one of their friends. Thus, why the girls know Japanese, it is their second tongue. Lilia's grandparents had given the girls tutors in manners and other business skills, what the girls did to Dr. Kellie's sister wasn't them simply playing around because they know Lilia has money, they saved her sister from being drowned in debt due to the larger amount of money they would get sued for.
Lilia and Yukii at first seemed like they only brought something to the table they called a forced friendship. It was until Dr. Kellie unleased Violet's family secret, Violet believes her sister is just working for a major fashion company, unaware she is the most notorious American Mafia leader. The bakery is the secret branch office outside of California, they plan on keeping Violet out of it until they have confirmed that she and Ryan will be a forever couple. Her father has already introduced the idea to the family head: his father. Which is why Ryan has a part-time job in the bakery.
This is a reason why all of Dr. Kellie's boys have suddenly broken away from each other and started working more with the girls. Tucker doesn't tell his friends anything about going to the Yamada house and working in the dojo. He had already asked her father about an apprenticeship in Japan under the Yamada house. Heath even though Abigale Riverside doesn't approve of him, James Riverside does, he had been working with the CEO of Riverside Toys and has already along with Lilia started working on their own dynasty. Lilia already knows but doesn't tell him that she does.
Dr. Kellie knows these six will become heroes, but not under the Hero League, Lilia will refuse to follow their strict hero rules. She will refuse to become a part of another experiment, and Heath won't let them. He's already been one of them and refuses to return to them. Dr. Kellie knew all along hiding from the Hero League was the best thing she could have ever done the six has stayed safe from each predator; the government which could be seen as a lion that doesn't care it just devours them. The Hero League is like a snake it doesn't show itself; they stay hidden and strikes you where you are dependent on them the ones they've hurt through the years has only piled against them, which is why they are so eager to have Dr. Kellie's beautiful mistake in their hands.
The car stopped as Dr. Kellie look over the looming skyscraper. The first eight floors are a normal business, with normal humans and renting their office spaces. The 42 floors are filled with heroes. "Thank you, but we can take it from here." Her brother-in-law nodded, as he returned to the car, they all slowly entered the building. Lillia found it normal to be in a larger building like this, so she stood out, and people recognized her. The whispers weren't really whispering, "It's Lilia Riverside the heir to the Riverside Toy company, you'd be set for like working alongside her." Dr. Kellie nervously went up to the front desk. "I'm here with these six teens to meet up with Louis Willow-branch." The code name for the woman at the desk to send you to the hero floors.
The woman at the desk nodded, "Yes, you may go ahead." Dr. Kellie pulled out an old ID and scanned it across the panel unlocking the only button that no one could push, inside the elevator. She pressed level 9 as the seven quiet and watch the buttons fade from light to dark. Lilia looked at each of the group members before stopping at Dr. Kellie, Lilia smiled at their worried and secret-keeping second creator. Lilia seemed to always have a plan even when not having a plan. The doors open and the light from the late midday sun was setting and hitting perfectly where the room looked like a brightly lit future.
Lilia takes the first step out of the elevator. They move forwards as Dr. Kellie stands before her beautiful creations, no matter what people tell her, they will always be her secret children. The last time she stood in this building she was 21 ten years later she stands before those who wanted her children. She walked with a stride in her step and stopped at the desk she only then realized she wore her baggy black pants and an oversized sweater, socks with open flip-flops, her white lab coat, and her hair was messily in a three-day-old bun. "We are here under an appointment from Mrs. Sun." the young woman behind the counter turned her eyes away and ignored the doctor. You could tell this girl was a senior inter from the high school the Hero League ran.
Dr. Kellie wasn't happy, "I said I am here for my appointment." Dr. Kellie looked back at her children with a weary smile as the almost 17-year-old senior refused to talk to her. Heath, Tucker, and Ryan might not have ever treated Dr. Kellie like their mother, more like an aunt, but no one ignored the person they cared for the most. The girls watched Lilia wasn't going to step in unless she had too, Violet didn't want to because Lilia wasn't, and Yukii knew better than to go start a fight no matter how much she wanted too.
Tucker smacked his hands on the counter, he broke the granite top counter, the room fell into silence. "Hey! It's not polite to ignore someone who is talking to you." Heath and Ryan continue to glare at the girls behind the desk. "You're being rude to a great scientist and doctor who was invited here by the retired heroine Mrs. Sun or Mrs. Diana Wilt," Ryan said as the room was slowly moving closer to the crowd the desk. "Plus, we have a special guest that must return home tomorrow, we don't have all day for you to slowly move your hands since Dr. Grace Kellie looks a little shabby because she's busy doing the Hero League's dirty work," Heath said as he watched the girls shiver as a guard comes walking out.
Both girls have an evil smile on their faces, but before the girls can scream and make the matter worse Lilia steps in, "Officer, I would like to make a report against the two girls at the desk." The room seemed to finally notice the young heiress standing a few feet from her friends. The guard worriedly nodded taking out his notebook, "Of course ma'am I'm sorry you had to witness this, I'll call some of the council members down." Lilia looked back to the girls and eyed Heath. He shivered at her cold stare and like a puppy in trouble ears down and tail between his legs returned to her side as she began to scold him, "Heath let's not get ourselves kicked out, Tucker, Ryan you as well. Dr. Kellie was handling it just fine."
A few moments later Mrs. Sun and other council members arrive at the scene. "Oh, you seven are here why didn't anyone tell me? I told our secretaries that I had an important guest coming today." The council members were looking through the videos that were on their cameras. Mrs. Sun sighed and walked over to the guard as the other council members came to apologize, "We deeply apologize, for the inconvenience these two girls have caused you, Miss Riverside." Lilia stops the old man, "I was not the one ignored, my friend Dr. Grace Kellie was. I think you should have those girls apologize to her just because she's a normal human means nothing."
Lilia gave the girls a sideways glare, "Are they training heroes? They work here, so they should have some idea of the concept the heroes don't discriminate against people. Their job as a hero or a Hero League worker is to protect the people of the world, what if this girl was here to give information on a cold case that the Hero League was working on?" the girls were shocked, by Lilia's words. "Miss, Riverside you are the one who made the complaint." The old man to the right said, "I'm don't care I'm complaining about your good customer service attitudes." Lilia continued to scold the, as a younger hero in the back smiled at what he noticed, and decided to tease the young heiress.
He used his super-speed, he flashed by wanting to lift her tight skirt a little, to watch her composer fall, but he didn't expect her to react the way she did. As he runs close to her, she grabbed him with her vines, "…and to top everything off you have a pervert." The room didn't even have time to notice the speedy vines. "Uhm…Lilia I think you should put the boy down." Dr. Kellie said nicely, as the girl had him dangling five feet up. "I guess I can, but if he touches my skirt again, I'll let Yukii handle him." the room was quiet as whispers begin to emerge, "Besides I'm a miner, I could have him thrown in prison for sexual harassment, and molesting a child." The room grew increasingly colder.
Lilia shook her head displeased, "How can any of you call yourselves heroes?" it was like she destroyed their high, mighty, and rich bubbles. She began to walk to the elevator, "I think I'm done here; I've only seen one good hero during my first ten minutes and feel disgusted, a homeless man could do better than all of you." Mrs. Sun rushed to the young heroine, "Wait! Please, come into my office, I would like to speak with you and show you around our building." Lilia was unamused, "I promise, you'll want to work here after you look through everything." Lilia was no fool, "Clean up your heroes then. It's like you found a bunch of armatures who are only in it for the money, a hero isn't in it for the money, they want to save people, they want good to rise above evil. I'm shocked this city hasn't fallen into your biggest villains yet!"
Dr. Kellie went to stop Lilia, but Heath placed his hand on her shoulder. "Let's head to her office, and give them a moment to return things back to normal." Heath tried to move her along but Lilia was not going to have it. "You want to work here?" she asked him, "No, it was never my plan to work here, I think we could, and will work better on our own." Lilia nodded, as they were taken up a flite of stairs to Mrs. Sun's office. The doors closed, "I deeply apologize." She said to Dr. Kellie. "I'm not allowed to watch the hero interview anymore, because I was using 'too high of standers', those are the words of a lazy retired hero, Stone-head. He only had two big missions and because his father was a part of the council before him, he was given a higher position and didn't like my numbers of recrements, so now he does it."
Lilia wasn't enjoying this, "So for our age are the top heroes here today?" Mrs. Sun nodded, "Yes, but I'm sure you six will be bored with all of them." Lilia shook her head, "If I see potential it'll be good for you, but if I see half-hearted heroes, then you might as well join us as we make our own Hero League. We'll make the real Hero League look like a second-class dollar store item." Mrs. Sun nodded as she pressed a button, "We're coming up, and yes bring those six out please." The muffled voiced on another side of her earpiece spoke, "Heck let the whole darn class watch."
She hung up, as they wait for the six special teens.
