Chapter 2 - Where It Should've Ended pt.2

The cops ignored her warning and inched closer. Scrawny let out a deafening screech as a thin piece of metal shot out from thin air and pierced his left eye. The squad shuffled around to observe the room more thoroughly. It looked like any normal school gym, but little did they know Wrath her secret army and weapons. The sins shuffled into safety as the youngest member of the group served as a distraction.

"Are you ready to listen now, BoJack? I'm losing my patience here. Ok, so– "

BoJack slammed his shield on the ground angrily and pointed at Wrath, "Who do you think you are? You are just as arrogant as your whole family, spoiled brat!"

The sins made the 'oh no you didn't' face. Even though they stood inches away from the emergency exit door, but they couldn't help but witness the heated battle. Wrath lit a cigarette as she watched the old policeman rambled on.

"His arrogance killed him, that guy. He was a good firefighter chief, but not good enough. They are all the same," he spat on the floor. "I was quite glad when I heard the news. A fireman died in a house fire. Bah! He would've been a waste of water anyway!" his crew started to chuckle along with him, including scrawny.

"I thought you cops were supposed to solve crimes. Did you not have enough evidence? I KILLED MY FAMILY!" she threw her lit cigarette to the floor and stepped on it before lighting a new one.

Sergeant BoJack shot the cigarette out of Wrath's lips, "That's it. I'm done playing around kiddo. Get down from that stage and you can keep your pretty face intact for another day."

Pride read the room and hurriedly lead the rest out of the gym. Everyone but Lust stayed back; he hid behind one of the bleachers to watch over his darling princess. She might be smart and brave, but she could be too reckless for her own good.

Half of the cop squad marched up the stage to get her. Before anyone could even blink, Wrath clapped her hands and some of the cops collapsed to their knees. Their legs were twisted and contorted as she walked away slowly to absorb the view. They wriggled in pain before they spontaneously combust, starting from their chest.

"That son of a b*tch had finally lost her mind," he whispered to himself, "Get her!"

The rest of the squad jumped down and charged at the podium. Wrath kicked down the heavy mahogany podium, spilling some clear goo on their uniforms. She jumped over their heads and sprinkled some shaved flint before setting them alight. They drop and roll one by one, coating themselves in more goo.

"Help! Make it stop! Captain, please," Scrawny clawed at his captain's boots.

Horrified by what he just witnessed; he ran up behind Wrath as she climbed to the top of the bleacher.

"Stop!" Lust pointed Gluttony's crossbow at the cop's head, "don't even think about it, drop your weapon and we will follow you to the station. We can talk this out, she's just a kid."

The captain looked up at Wrath, Lust and Wrath again, "I lost all my best men here tonight. All because this LITTLE WH*RE WANTED TO PLAY GAMES," he shot at her but missed it by a hair.

Wrath ran down the bleachers from the other side in zig zags; dropping red and black marbles all over. The captain pursued her like a hawk preying on a rabbit. One of Lust's arrows shot him on the shoulder, but this hawk had a determination unlike any other.

After a few rounds of cat and dog chase, he eventually tripped on one of her marbles. It started to immediately gasses up rapidly, one after another. Wrath smiled with satisfaction. Captain BoJack tried to stand up, but his legs failed to move. Next, his arms felt numb and woozy.

"You crazy b*tch! What did you do to me? They will get you for all your sins and crimes! You hear me? I've got evidence!" he screamed with a coarse voice and pointed at his body camera.

"I know you're about to die anyway and dead man tells no tale. But I'm wiser than that. I don't kiss and tell. Hope you like burning alive," she smiled before throwing her cigarette butt and lighting the air around him on fire.

"Let's go. We are in so much trouble, there's no getting away from this one," Lust grabbed her wrist and dragged her through the main door where they met with the rest of the sins.

"We are so screwed; they will break in any second now. Wait, where's Envy?" said Gluttony with worry in his voice.

"F*ck her, we should think about ourselves right now. What's our game plan here? I need that scholarship and I'm not losing it over some criminal allegations," Pride jumped in.

Sloth draped his slender arm around Greed, "Well, while all of you were busy playing heroes, I actually went ahead and be one. I threw away any surveillance footage of us after we entered the auditorium."

As they were speaking, the door burst open with 12 more police cars arriving and Envy at the back of one of the cars. The group steadied themselves for their inevitable overnight arrest and questioning. Two officers cuffed and pushed Gluttony while the others only require one. Wrath was walked to the front of the car without cuffs; being a minor. She and Lust shared a cigarette while the rest were driven to the station and half of the cops investigated the building for any evidence that can be linked to the diner fire.

"Sorry ma'am. You're not allowed to smoke," a young cop politely said.

"Oh, you must be new. Fine, just let me finish this one and we will be on our merry way," she sarcastically curtsied.

The young cop smacked the cigarette off her lips and stepped on the amber into the dirt, "I said you're not allowed to smoke, ma'am," he walked away to the door of his car.

"Oh, you MOTHERF– " Lust covered her mouth while carrying her away from the cop.

She bit his finger, picked up the smooshed cigarette, lit it, and flicked it to his hair.

"So, why are we here again? I got a call in the police station from the hospital. Are you guys nuts? I was trying to save everyone's ass," Pride huffed.

"The usual. Newbies," Lust sighed.

"It was a black filter! He should've kept his hands where it belonged," Wrath pouted. "How many stitches this time?"

"Only 13, it wasn't as bad as when you 'fell down the stairs'," Lust watched her somberly and folded his arm.

"Let's get you two home now. Shower and get a rest. Not arrested. Especially you," Pride put his finger on Wrath's forehead.

"I'll cook for you tonight, stay the night. Sorry to trouble you again. You always ended up saving me, even though I'm the big brother."

"Thanks for the offer, it's been a while since I had one of your famous meals," Pride smiled warmly and pulled his older brother into a hug, "Let's go. You're driving."

"Aye aye cap'n."
