Chapter 24 - 23 - why are they still alive?

|Welcome gamer for entering the dark realm, in order for you to leave, you must defeat the boss.

Failure to do so means death!|

Scanning through the system's notification which says the same thing as the last portal he went through, he knew there is a potential that he may lose his life but that didn't discourage him from going forward.

After removing the screen notification from his sight, he started analysing his surroundings, the whole place looks like a historical ruin, stone pebbles broken down, the archaic and rusted walls with vines surrounding the whole place made it look like the place was abandoned for a millennium or so. The whole place seems to be wrecked and if it wasn't because of the small weird looking creatures crawling about the place, Mickaila would never have known that this was a place for inhabitants to live since the air wasn't that great.

Furthermore, this place made him think back to the Hallow Museum's rumours. [I mean, this place sticks with the dead.] Was all Mickaila could think about since he arrived with the stent filling up his nostrils making him sick, however no dead bodies or blood was found on the premises which made him wonder where this awful smell was coming from.

But with this thought in mind, he realised something. Focusing on his surroundings, he wondered whether this place was a different perception/ another realm of the one he lives in back on earth. A realm that was full of monsters rather than humans.

Although he has never been inside the Hallow Museum, he knows for certain that all museum's store historical artifacts. And for the one he was currently in, despite the horrid interior walls, there were also well stored artifacts that seems to be well cared for in this run down place which made it look suspicious in Mickaila's eyes.

For example, despite the several different fancy vases and cultural artifacts that seems to be quite expensive and could sell for a good sum of money, there were also fully armed warrior armours placed in their stand throughout the whole interior wall with some guarding a large double door that was full of vines and poison ivy surrounding the closed door which seems to be difficult to open unless he was immune to poison, [oh wait, I am immune] Mickaila smirked remembering the skill he earned from the last portal he went through that nearly killed him a second time.

But nevertheless, Mickaila still had a gut feeling that something was odd, [I mean, how can this run down place have such clean and well looked after armours whilst everything else is all wrecked or dusty?]

Although Mickaila couldn't put his hands on what truly was wrong, he knew that something was suspicious about this place and that he should be on high alert in case of anything happening.

Closing upon the double doors that seems to be wrapped in poison ivy for so many years that it seems to be inseparable. Mickaila peered through to see that the poison ivy has wrapped the door in place making it hard to open.

Well that was if Mickaila was a normal human being making it impossible for him to open the doors however that was different to his current state where he has enough capabilities to do so.

Taking it slowly, just as the doors were about to open and a speck of image from the other side of the door was seen, a hazardous feeling swept over Mickaila and his instincts told him that something was definitely wrong.

Just before the door was fully opened, a chilly feeling reached Mickaila, and just then a swing of the sword was heard hitting the cold pebble floor leaving a larger crack to the cold and dirty platform they were currently standing on. And luckily for Mickaila, he was able to escape from the attack and come out unscattered.

"Cough..." As Mickaila tried to adjust to the dusty environment and searched his surroundings for who had attempted to do a sneak attack from him. He soon comes into a shocking discovery. "What the he...." Just before he could finish his curse, the pair of deadly red eyes stared at Mickaila as if it could piece his soul and within a swift moment, it's entire being disappeared from Mickaila's view and when Mickaila came to his conscience, the shadow of the evil attacker appeared from behind him.

Just before it could swing it's sword once again, Mickaila brought out his trusty weapon and blocked the attack before jumping back into a safer position.

Looking back, he sees a human figure but suited in all armour, just as the dust faded. He comes to a clearer vision whereby he was surrounded by these warriors that seems to be controlled from behind like puppets.

Since all of them had a weapon in their hands, it'll be quite difficult for Mickaila to come out uninjured.

However, this didn't discourage him either but instead, it excited him.

Giving an evil smirk with a glint of mischievousness from his eyes, he glared upon his surroundings with all the armoured warriors that were meant to be in their stands but instead now they were all out to get Mickaila.

Looking at all the individual armoured warriors standing before him, with one that stood out more than the rest, it's aura was incomparable with the others, "I guess you're the leader huh?" Mickaila asked rhetorically.

The leader looked back with its dark reddish eyes blazing with power as it stared back upon Mickaila. It's figure was larger than the rest along with two strong and durable blades, one in each hand. Whilst the leader of this herd of metal moved back, it sent it's minions out to attack Mickaila whilst the leader stood back and watched.

As the battle began, one against 10s of these warriors seemed to be no problem as Mickaila blazed through the herd with no trouble, slashing one metal after another metal warrior until he killed them all.

However, who would have expected that this wasn't the end?

The metal scraps that were scattered on the pebble floor soon collected themselves and the metal warriors came back alive.

Mickaila once again slashed down his enemies one after another with no difficulty however every time he killed one, they would always revive as if they were new and hadn't sustained any injuries.

"Damn, why are they still alive?" As Mickaila's breathing began to heave.

[If this keeps on going on, my energy would soon run out.] He sighed as he stood back on his two feets and began to calm down his brain to think of a solution.

[How do I kill them so that they don't revive?] He questioned himself.

[Normally in games they would have a source of energy that provides them the power to revive.]

[Wait.... So if that is the case.] He hesitated.

Opening his heightened perception, he tried sensing the mana strings that joined all these warriors together and as Mickaila has suspected.

Opening his eyes once again, pulling his consciousness back into his body, all the warrior knights had once again started to rebuild itself but it was evident that their healing ability was slowing down.

A malicious glint of bloodlust appeared on Mickaila's features as he faced the one that caused so much trouble for him, "so it was you?"
