Chapter 121 - Really protective

At least somewhat. She was going to get Stella alone and pester her about it, but she understood that no one wanted to talk about it right now.

"Let's all go down, shall we?" June's voice interrupted her thoughts. "Penelope would like to freshen up, and I think we all need to relax a bit after all that excitement." she said.

Everyone murmured their assent and began to climb down from the attic one by one. "Wait!" Stella called out, she and Simon were the only ones left in the attic by that time. "What?" Two voices echoed together. Simon had looked back and Allen had climbed up with amazing speed, sticking his head through the entrance.

Stella looked from the two of them to the unconscious Sharp on the attic floor. "What about him?" she asked. Allen rolled his eyes and said, "Oh just let him be. He deserves to get a little dirty after his behavior right now." But he nevertheless climbed back up in the attic. "Let's not leave him." Stella said, "I'm sure he will actually kill me if I'm not there when he wakes up."

Simon sighed and Allen scratched his head upon hearing this. It was true, all four of them were protective of Stella, but Den's concern was on another level entirely, it almost bothered on obsession.

And the worst part was, he always lashed out at Stella herself.

A couple of hours later . . . .

Den frowned as he slowly opened his eyes. Where on earth was he? he wondered as he blinked a few times and frowned. What was this light coming from the window?

Den turned his head to the other side to let his eyes adjust and then turned back towards the window. He saw that it was the glow of sunlight in the evening, just as the sun was about to set. It looked beautiful.

And speaking of beautiful, Den's eyes fell on a figure sitting a little beside the window on a chair, framed in the evening glow. She was sitting in a very weird position, with one of her legs folded under her hips and the other dangling on the armrest. Den chuckled, the position sure was weird, but this beautiful little girl definitely pulled it off.

Next, he noticed the most obvious thing about her. Her plentiful nest of jet black hair. The girl had curly, long hair, some of which were sticking out in weird angles. But most of it was pushed behind her shoulder to focus on something on her phone, which the girl was intently staring at.

But her hair was very stubborn. It kept coming in front and falling in the girl's eyes. Den longed to push the stray strands behind her ears. Apparently that was what the girl wanted as well, as she brought up her free hand to push the hair back.

But Den frowned upon seeing that the hand that wasn't holding the phone supported a plaster. What had happened to this beautiful girl?

Wait a minute!

A plaster?! Beautiful long jet black uncontrollable hair?!! The weirdest sitting posture he had ever seen?!!!

Was this???? Den's suspicion was confirmed as the girl shifted her position a bit and her face came into view. Stella!!!!!

Wait!!
