Den's head hurt as everything that had happened before he passed out came rushing back.
Stella!!
"McCarteney?!?!?!?!" Den screamed as sat up. Stella looked up with a start upon hearing the voice. The phone almost slipped from her hands as she jumped, but luckily she had enough presence of mind to grab it at the last moment.
As soon as he stabilized, the pain in his head came rushing back and Den held his head in hands as he closed his eyes. Stella, sensing that he was in pain, got up from the chair and rushed to the bedside. "What happened? Where does it hurt?? Do you feel sick??? You want me to call someone???? Do you want some water?????" She immediately began to stress over him, hovering on the bedside and bombarding him with questions.
Stella finally shut up when Den reached out and held her in place by grabbing both of her shoulders. She was just glad he wasn't using his whole strength as she froze. Stella stopped speaking, she wasn't even sure she could have done spoken even if she wanted to.
She wanted to be completely still and not make any sudden movements. Who knew what would aggravate him. Plus, Stella blinked as she stared at him. Sharp was looking quite . . . . sexy?
Stella wasn't sure she had ever seen Sharp wake up from a sleep. She didn't think he even slept. Anyway, his hair silky hair was messed up as it fell in weird angles. Some of it was getting in his eyes, and Sharp gave his head a shake to push it away. How come she hadn't ever noticed that his hair was long enough to fall in his eyes? Stella's eyes slowly traveled from the gorgeous hair to the deep red eyes. All she ever noticed whenever she saw vampire eyes was how dark they were, to judge had they fed lately. But as she stared into Sharp's eyes, she didn't really see their color, she saw . . . . something else.
Stella gave her head a shake and pulled her out of Sharp's thoughts where she had let herself stray while she was distracted. At least that was what she was assuming had happened.
But the weird thing was Stella hadn't seen in Sharp's mind like she usually did with other people. She had no idea what he was thinking or feeling. What she had seen, had been weird, she almost felt like . . . . it was his soul?
Stella shook her head upon thinking this. Maybe she had been watching too many fantasy movies now-a-days. But she still avoided direct eye-contact with Sharp as she asked, "How . . . . umm . . . . how do you . . . . . how are you?"
Sharp still looked to be in pain and Stella started to rush towards the door to call someone. But she stopped short in her tracks as he called out, "WAIT!!" from his spot on the bed. "I'm fine. It's just . . . my head hurts a bit. Don't speak too loudly for a while." he said as Stella walked back to his bed. She nodded and dragged a chair to his bedside to sit down, but the next instant yelled, "Sorry!!!" as Sharp closed his eyes and frowned upon hearing the sound.
Stella realized too late that she had shouted just seconds after he had asked her not to speak loudly, and bit her tongue.
