The rest of the car ride passed in idle talk about what everyone had been doing while they had been apart.
Stella was sure that both June and Allen knew about the incident with Mazata Zukao, but she was thankful when no one brought it up. Mostly it was June going on about her birthday preparations and Allen whispering jokes about them to Stella, to low for June to hear.
Stella chuckled at a joke Allen had told her and looked out the window. She wondered when would they be reaching June's family home. They had been driving for quite a while now, and that was after she had woken up.
Stella was all sore from sitting for so long and her broken hand had started to throb weirdly.
As these thoughts were running through her mind, Stella's breath hitched as something came into view.
"Oh, we're back." Allen muttered, sounding oddly disappointed. And June spoke, "Finally!! Cars are too slow! Especially these normal ones. I wish. . . . ."
But what June wished, Stella never heard. Her mouth fell open at the sight that greeted her as the car rounded a corner and 'June's family home' came into view.
June's home, was like no home Stella had ever seen before. It was the biggest mansion she had ever seen. She would have compared it to a castle from a fairy tale, with it's huge gardens and high rise towers, but Stella was not one to read many fairy tales.
She stared as the towers slowly came into view one by one as the car neared the house. Stella tore her eyes away from the mansion when she heard sniggering in the car.
She turned to glare at Allen, who closed her mouth by pushing up her chin and said, "Careful. A bit of drool is coming out." Stella was about to punch him with her good hand, knowing he wouldn't be hurt anyway, when she was suddenly snatched from his lap by June, who glared at Allen.
"Don't make fun of her." Sharp spoke softly and Allen humped and crossed his arms.
"Here. This side has a better view." June said as she made Stella look out the window.
Stella's breath hitched as she looked out again. They had continued to move while the bickering was going on in the car. And she was hit by the beauty of the mansion in all it's glory as soon as she looked out.
By the time they reached the main gates, Stella was almost bounding with excitement in her seat. She watched in amazement and her eyes widened at the beauty of the garden as Sharp slowly drove towards what she assumed must be the main entrance.
As soon as the car stopped, a middle-aged man walked out in vampire speed with a smile on his face.
He wore formals and Stella assumed he was the butler. But she was not patient enough to wait for him to open the door, even if he was walking faster than lightning.
She opened the door of the car and rushed out at her full speed, leaving behind everyone confused for a few seconds. She ran off in the direction of the gardens and among some bushes.
While Stella went off to have the time of her life, everyone in and around the car had really different reactions.
