Chapter 91 - Where did this come from?

"You look awful girl. I bet Susan would think it is your ghost if she saw you now." Stella chuckled to herself before she began to brush her hair. It was a tedious process and her scalp was hurting by the time she finished.

Stella kept the hair-brush away, put her hair in a bun and shrugged out of Simon's huge shirt. As she was caressing the various marks on her neck, shoulders, chest and abdomen, Stella caught sight of a new mark. She tilted her head and stared at the weird mark on her chest. Where had this one come from? Stella tried to think back, but she couldn't remember sustaining any new injuries on her chest. But who knew, the mark was so light that it was quite possible for her to get hurt and not even notice it.

"It's probably from the time I fought with Mazata." Stella mumbled as she caressed the scar. But the mark felt weird somehow, she could fell her heart beating at the exact place the scar existed. It even felt as though the scar was somehow connected to her heart.

Stella shook her head and laughed. "You need to start spending some time among humans girl. Your are seeing supernatural where it does't exist." she spoke to her reflection in the mirror before yanking back on Simon's shirt and coming out of the bathroom.

"I seriously need to start carrying some outfits." Stella muttered to herself as she folded the sleeves of the huge shirt. Once in her room, she did not feel like lying down. She was sore from all the wounds and definitely tired, but she didn't feel sleepy at all after that episode with Sharp.

She went to her bed and picked up the locket before going to the window and sitting on the window-sill. Stella sat there for a couple of minutes, but she was feeling too restless. She looked out into the city, then back into the room and towards the bedroom door. Stella sighed and said, "I don't even care now." she mumbled to herself before dropping out of the window.

After coming out of Stella's room, Den went into his own room. He sighed as he plopped on the bed and held his hands in his hands. "Damn you Den. What are you thinking?! What the f*ck have you been doing?!?!" he internally swore and punched himself. "F*ck! I need to talk to someone so bad!! I don't even know what to do!!!" Den sighed and lay down on the bed.

He knew he wasn't getting any sleep, he hadn't slept for a century now, but he felt weirdly tired. Den closed his eyes and thought back to the time he had been happy, truly happy. His one escape from his hellish reality.

Den walked into a huge bedroom holding a bouquet of red roses in his hand. He walked up to a beautiful woman sitting and reading on a chair beside the window and put his huge hand over her eyes. He smiled when the woman tensed up at first but relaxed when she recognized his presence.

"How are you this beautiful morning, my lady?" Den spoke, handing her the bouquet of roses and sitting on the table.
