Stella awoke but her eyelids were too heavy to open them.
She let out a groan and turned on her side, this bed was too comfortable and she was much too sleepy. But just as she turned on her side, Stella jumped up.
Something hard had stuck her ribs as she tried to turn. She sat up and rubbed her eyes.
As Stella opened her eyes, she remembered all that had happened and saw the thing that had poked her ribs. It was the cast on her right hand.
Stella then looked around to find Simon looking at her uncertainly from a chair beside the bed. He seemed really worried about her.
Stella let out a tired smile as she spoke, "It's official. I'm a freak."
Simon stood up and made Stella lean on some pillows. He then sat on the edge of the bed.
While he was wondering what to say, Stella spoke, "Where's Sharp?"
"He went out." Simon replied. "Do you want me to call him?" He asked, pulling out his phone.
Stella shook her head and the next instant she slapped her forehead.
"What's wrong!?!?!?" Simon was instantly alarmed.
"Sharp is gonna be so angry." Stella spoke with a guilty smile. "What did you do?" Simon asked with a frown.
Stella: "I dropped the phone he gave me."
Simon: "....." That was what this girl was worried about? She really was weird.
"Anyway Simon?" Stella spoke, bringing Simon out of his thoughts.
"Yeah." Simon spoke in a small voice. Maybe they were finally going to address the elephant in the room.
"Is there anything to eat? I'm hungry." Stella spoke, looking like a child expecting a treat.
Simon: "...." How could this girl be so engaged with trivial things? Did she not remember what had happened?
Simon decided to along with Stella and realised with a start that he didn't have any food at hand. "I'm so sorry Stella. But I've got no food at hand." Simon spoke with a guilty expression.
Stella rolled her eyes, "Are you then going to keep your patient starved?"
Simon shook his head and stood up, "I'll go out and buy something. I'll be back in a minute." He said and the next instant Stella was alone in the room.
Stella quickly got up from the bed and walked into Simon's room of medicines.
She knew that Simon lived in the city so it wouldn't take him as much time as it took to go shopping from Den's cottage.
Actually, the only time he would take would be to shop, the coming and going wouldn't take him even half a minute.
With these thoughts, Stella walked over to where the deep red liquid was stored in bottles. Stella could smell the same smell she had smelt before. Of something delicious.
Though it seemed fainter and less tempting now. Stella wondered why that was as she walked over and picked up a bottle.
She uncorked it and sniffed the liquid inside.
Sure enough, it was the same liquid she had been drinking.
The whiff that came from the bottle still tempted Stella quite a bit. But it wasn't unbearable now and she didn't get a frenzy this time.
