Chapter 14 - I'm Not A Creep~ I'm Not A Weirdo~

In the villa, I kept staring at the interior. It was modern while giving a masculine vibe. On the outside, it looked as if it was a home of a wealthy aristocrat, but from the inside, we can see a modern style. I unhurriedly found my way to the kitchen, and my first step was to see what is exactly in the fridge. His "round things which leak" was not much of a help.

Fortunately, there was just enough to make simple pasta. Considering that he does not trust anyone with his food, I really don't know how he came to terms with me cooking his food. He does not even trust me with important meetings.

He sat in the main hall which was near to the kitchen. I did not start cooking for the first five minutes; He became aware that something was not right, so he came to the kitchen to see what's up.

I smirked at him while I saw him entering the kitchen. 'Don't worry, Chris. I'll make you come to the kitchen.' I thought to myself.

"Um, food?" He asked with a very innocent face. I treated him the same way he treated me when I sat in the back seat. I did not reply to his 'Um, food?' Instead, I started cooking right away. He seemed to understand my meaning, so he sat on the counter, waiting for me to finish. It was actually fun seeing a guy in a suit at 2 a.m sitting on a kitchen counter-top, intently waiting for food. He did not question me while I was cooking, unlike how I expected his behavior. I figured he would comment on how I washed the vegetables or how the water was not heated enough, but he did not say a thing. (He should actually know what's going on before commenting.)

Because of that, it was becoming quite awkward. There was only the sound of water boiling and vegetables frying.

"So, Mr Wilson. I heard you were a picky eater from Lily." I said, carefully examining his expression.

"No. I'm not a picky eater. Those people simply don't know what I like to eat, so they cook the wrong food." He answered. Funny how he can say such things with a straight face.

"Aha… Ya, ok." I resumed cooking. It was almost done by now. It should sit for a minute or two, and then it was ready to serve.

"Ms Brown. When did you learn to cook?" he asked. If he was asking Lia, then I would say that I was a foodie, I hated hostel food, so I had to 'fend' for myself. But since he was asking Luna, my answer should be different.

If I was my usual self, I would probably say, "Well, I am not as spoiled as you. Of course, I knew how to cook. Duh."

But no, instead I said, "I do not exactly remember. Maybe when I was 13, my parents had to take up multiple shifts, so I learned to take care of myself." I thought it would evoke 'sympathy,' in him, but boy was I wrong.

"Oh. So, you know how to do housework too. Good, I can call you anytime for anything." He smiled to himself, obviously satisfied. Damn you, Chris! I cursed him many times.

I served him the food while yawning to myself. As soon as he finished eating, I could go to the hotel and sleep. It was already 3 a.m, so I had the urge to shout 'Eat Quickly!!!'

He sat with his fork right next to him, as if waiting for the correct time to eat. I could tell he was internally questioning what I made him. He seemed to debating about whether or not to eat. He stared at the pasta for five whole minutes while I was losing my patience. "Just eat already!" I shouted at him. He did not expect my sudden outburst, so he dropped the fork.

"Ms Brown." He said meaningfully.

"You literally watched me cook it. I can't and didn't add some poison to kill you, so eat already." I said, "Although if I could, I would." I mumbled to myself while avoiding eye contact.

"What?" he asked. "Nothing. Just eat fast. I need to leave soon, Mr Wilson." I brushed him off. I don't know when or how, but I fell asleep on the long dining table. When I woke up in the morning, I found myself in an unknown room. I fumbled out of the bed and made my way to the door because my initial thoughts were, 'Am I kidnapped?'

No, I was not. I was in Chris's villa. Probably in one of the guest rooms. And then it struck me. How did I end up here!? It did not seem humanly possible for the 'spoiled' Chris to carry me up the stairs to the guest room, but then again, there was no one here. I started checking every room on the floor and found Chris, who was sleeping in an insanely 'proper' way. He almost reminded me of Sheldon from Big Bang Theory. I smiled very creepily. No, I am not a pervert. I smiled because I got a day off. And I have this villa to myself. That is, until he wakes up. Now I felt that I should have slipped a sleeping pill so that he won't get up so soon. I explored the villa, and I did not steal anything. You know, just throwing it in there lest you guys suspect me of something. I have morals ok! I am NOT a thief, maybe a creep, yes.

My so-called exploring did not last long because I was hungry and I would NOT eat anything until I brushed my teeth. If only I knew that, I would be in such a situation I would bring along my toothbrush and possibly a new set of clothes. Yup, but I did not know I would be sleeping in my boss' house. Ok, that sounded wrong. Let me rephrase that, I did not know I would take shelter in my boss' humble abode. Ya, I'm classy. But his abode is not humble at all.

By the time I could sneak back into my bed, he already woke up. Instead of looking all groggy or sleepy, he looked quite fresh, as if he washed his face. "Mr Wilson! You're already done bathing?"

"Nice joke. I just woke up." He answered with an indifferent face.

"Oh, ok?" I did not want to believe that but why would he lie to me. He'll get absolutely nothing.

"Do you have an extra toothbrush by chance?" I asked with a very uncomfortable tone. I would have never thought that I would be begging a toothbrush from this guy. Life is weird.

"Yes. Follow me." He guided me to this very large cabinet and when he opened the doors I saw at least a thousand new toothbrushes on the first shelf. The hell?! I thought. But then I realized that it's Chris Wilson, and these types of things were totally normal for him. Let me ask him for a reasonable explanation for the thousand toothbrushes.

"Why do you have so many toothbrushes?" I asked. Lily did NOT tell me about this. This is a whole new level.

"I change my toothbrush every month. Do you not, Ms Brown?" He asked. Now, who's going to tell him that I use the same toothbrush for 6 months minimum. He changes it every month. Talk about dental hygiene, I'm sure his dentist must be proud of him, unlike mine who shouts, "There's a thing called floss! Use it!"

"Haha, I change it every week," I said. I was awkwardly laughing. Every week my foot, my dentist's face came to my mind along with his annoyed expression.

"Really…" He smiled with satisfaction. He smiled and gave me a toothbrush. God, I think he really believed that I change my toothbrush every week. He should see my cavities hah! Not that I have many, I have one, but it's not my fault! No, it's totally my fault. Moving on.

He had milk in his fridge, so we had cereals; He ate it grudgingly because he expected oatmeal from the only restaurant he believed in, but I disrupted his plans.

"Um, Mr Wilson, about me sleeping here- "

"Oh, don't worry, you do not need to thank me. It was out of pity after all." Can I just say, one day I will kick him and punch him. God, please give me a chance.

"Did you carry me upstairs?"

"No, you flew." He said with a very stern face.

"Sarcasm?"

"Yes, Ms Brown. What else can it be?"

He dropped me off at the hotel, and he left. The one thing which I forgot to notice was his outfit. He looked good in casuals, unlike his usual attire; I think this time would be the only time I would see him in something other than office attire.

Soon, I got out of the hotel and took a nice single bedroom near the office. So now I can sleep more! The month flew by smoothly and surprisingly Chris is a good guy. I will never admit that I said if he asks, just so you know.

He helped me a lot after Lily left, but he is egoistic, that's for sure. I became quite used to the office environment and the feeling when I got my salary… Heheheheee
